I'm a current town councillor. My wife is the mayor of my town. My friends include mayors, ex-mayors, council leaders, comittee chairs and district councillors. I have attended many town/district/county council events over the last 4 years. I don't want to get too optimistic.
Unfortunately most councilllors do not like football and this will be irrelevant to them. They do like shitting on other peoples doorsteps which could get us votes from outside Oxford/Kidlington.
I've just had a quick look on the ticketing site and there is about 300 tickets left. Most of them are the edges of the South lower. If we have 500 that buy on the day then people will be locked out.
No idea. I went to the 5-0 win over the inbreds on 7th April 1982 (15 yo) but I'm sure this wasn't my first game. This was in the days when Reading were equal to swindon for rivalry. I definitely saw some games with Ian Greaves as manager. My best guess is Brentford at home (1-1) on 4th April 1981.
It's a shame to see 6/10, 7/10, at 28 he won't improve posts, about a player that was highly regarded. If Ledson and Rothwell can 'cut it' in the Championship then I'm sure Ruffels can. He will improve if he is regularly playing against better players. If only that header against Coventry went...
