The instaneous temp is consistent to about .5 deg with another outdoor one and the one in the car, I doubt they're all 4 degrees out of true. Benson is famous for being cold, something to do with it being a dip near the river I believe.

The Oxfordshire temp was probably from Benson where it's allways a few degrees colder than anywhere else. I got a min of -7 in Headington on Thursday.
