    Fan's View Fan's View 23/24 - No.42: Bolton away

To add insult to injury, there was a power cut at the hotel I was staying at so I couldn't get a hot drink or cooked breakfast on Wednesday morning and there was an accident on the southbound M40 yesterday. Ah well, onward and upwards (we hope).

VAR now being used for ’subjective offside’, dear, oh dear.

Shame it's closing, I don't know how they kept their prices so low. I had really excellent cod and chips, in Wigan, and that was £7.80 without a drink. Fish n Chips always seem better up north.

He gets a bonus point for booking Dale for diving.

    EPL VAR

I think the gaol should have stood. However if there was no VAR it may have been disallowed, anyway, if the Lino had not played full attention and thought that an Arsenal player had made the pass. VAR did, correctly, rule out a ‘goal’ for Man U, but did allow a very dodgy penalty for Newcastle...

Well I think that many, like myself, would pay the bar bill, buffet, church, vicar and anything else if we could arrange a re marriage to our fellow Europeans.

Yes Negru had a sub par performance today. Leigh was OKish but his throw ins were dreadful, gave the ball away almost every time. Tyler was very quiet too as was Harris. Mills, maybe, deserves a start.

Jerome wasn’t there so Nathan had to do all the radio by himself. I don’t know the announcer.

No, Dermot said that even if it was not stopping a clear goal scoring opportunity, he should have gone for serious foul play.

He played for us 93 times, I think he had a fair crack. To me he always looked better coming off the bench.

    Ex-Staff The Karl Robinson Thread

Probably the right decision for him to go now but I don't understand some of the vitriol directed towards him. In his time, at Oxford, we have seen some of the best, if not the best, football played at the Kasstad. He's brought through some great talents which, inevitably, we have had to sell...

I have just eaten a very pleasant, toasted hot cross bun, thank you (Waitrose rich and fruity, since you asked).

I can only judge by what I have seen him play. He started against Swansea, did very little and was subbed at half time. He played 90 mins against Chelsea and again I was not impressed. I don't recall him starting a league game but I think he has come on as sub but did not turn any game around.

What's Joseph done to upset you? I'd start him ahead of Smith, otherwise good team,

I enjoyed my day out, second half performance was the best away since Exeter. Even the last 5 mins of the first half the got a bit of rhythm. Walking back to the car and passing IKEA reminded me of the time I had to visit that dreaded place. No footy match I have ever been to was as bad as that...
