Old Emi is a bit of an a*sehole, isn't he. Loves the bantz. Only English club still left in Europe as well.

The way they did it without consultation...awful, unquestionably. The actual idea? I'm for it, BUT give the lower side guaranteed home advantage (German Cup does this).

This reminds me of an old joke my grandad heard at sea... Name three fish that begin and end with the letter "K". The answer: Killer shark King-size haddock Kilmarnock (The last one is a plaice in Scotland)

Great idea, if Browne and Edwards both leave we'll need someone to give the medical team something to do.

It's Kilmarnock, you'd probably be able to buy half a street for the cost of a two-bed semi in Oxford. I do notice that the cultural centre there is called the Dick Institute, which is rather unfortunate.

Ref Watch 16/4/24 Oxford United v Lincoln City - Lee Swabey

When you're giving out cards left and right and people are saying it should have been more, and earlier, then you know it's been a tough match. My main issue with him was his body language and failure overall to control the match in a way that the really good officials know how to. Case in...

Home Match Day Thread 16/4/24 Oxford United v Lincoln City

Sorry to say it but we had our pockets picked by a canny side who had done their homework. Don't give us space to breathe, neutralise Murphy, make the back line turn and be aware that we have little adaptability or Plan B. Extremely disappointing performance, a big response needed on Friday...

Ruben got a lot of the ball and a lot of the man as well. Far more troublesome was Leigh getting his pants pulled down and Long in the middle being miles away from his man.

A decent performance overall. A tough ask to match the weekend. Dale is the key performer for us, he's being a nuisance and creating chances. Lincoln have clearly done their homework on Murphy and are marking, pressing and fouling him out of the game... Everyone else a mixture of good and not so...

So good today that Championship clubs are surely circling. It would be a no-risk signing for a lot of them. Hope he finally feels he is in the right place and actively wants to stay here, we are certainly going to have to offer a good deal to keep him.

Ref Watch 14/04/2024: L1: OUFC v Peterborough - Andy Davies

Missed a bit in the first half, but set his stall out early in letting things go, which suited the game ideally. Just the type of ref needed when both teams are going at each other. Got the big decisions right as well. No complaints from my end.

He basically needs a game where he sits like a quarterback, either dishing the ball quickly or stroking the ball to the wings. For that, you need to play against a team who doesn't play a high line or press. As Boro (for whatever reason) sat off us in the middle the entire game, and we pressed...

Best half of the season by some distance. Like we did to Bolton, so Boro are doing to us, namely getting rid of presents like Santa Claus on crack. Could have been far more as well. Outstanding from front to back.

New Stadium Plans - The Triangle - Planning

Frankly, having "road closures" as the main point of objection for denying an entire stadium project with all its resident benefits is baffling to me. At both major Berlin clubs, tens of thousands of people descend on the stadium on alternate weekends between August and May. There is good...

Away Match Day Thread 06/04/2024: L1 Burton Albion v OUFC

Morning all. Can't shake the feeling that we're going to make heavy weather of it today. Have to hope that Burton are as abject as the opposite fixture and that the boys have the swagger from the Fleetwood game. Draws all round in the playoff race, the hope drags on another weekend.
