Yes. It's such a shame, we would not have had had to rely on others but that is where we find ourselves unfortunately.

See what I mean, given Lincoln won, we now have two teams we can catch which is a better scenario than just having Lincoln. We need Pompey to turn up from the beach and/or we win by about ten!

Yes but if we win next week we are through regardless in your scenario. Someone mentioned, both games being draws and that is probably the ideal scenario today. Certainly, in my view, having Barnsley as being catchable is the better option than having them not catchable. If Lincoln lose today, I...

Not in this scenario and the differing form of the teams. If Lincoln win today and Barnsley win, it gives us less chance next week even if we win as we only have one team we could overtake. If Blackpool and Lincoln win today it means we have a better job of getting in the playoffs next week than...

Barnsley are on a shite run of form would rather have them in it on the last day of the season. Even if Blackpool win tomorrow a win on the last day and we will finish above to them.

Not really. One January window is simply not enough. Too many players here already on contracts who were never going to leave. We can't just get players in without getting them out. He got in what he could.

I'm firmly in the camp that he should be given more time and transfer windows to put his stamp on the team. I can see the way he wants to play, there are definitely signs of the progressive football he wants and he deserves, in my view, time to get the players in who are needed to do that. It's...

You are right about the make up of the squad but that one isn't on Des. One January transfer window is not enough to get the players in needed and sort out the mess. We clearly need more pacey wingers for his system (After Robinson, I never thought I would say that)!

Let's hope Blackpool beat Barnsley and keep Barnsley in the mix

Stevenage needed to win by a lot to stay in hunt for the playoffs so start time wasting when they go 1-0 up.

Because Henry has a history of scoring a lot of goals for us and Smyth is a defensive type player who does not.

We did not play badly but just too many misplaced passes in the final third, all night! Not enough pacey options and next season we really need a number of options out wide.

    International News Israel Palestine conflict

I'm confused, you hold Israel to a higher standard because some of their ancestors were in the Holocaust? Do you hold Cambodians and Rwandan's, to name a couple, to a higher standard too? If you had said Israel portrays itself as a Western democracy and is held to the same standards, therefore...

He wanted to push Cam further forward so can see why he put McGuane on. However, I think Goodrham was unlucky to be subbed when he was as I thought he was having a better game than Rodrigues.

I don't mind their fans and I thought they were well organised and tactically spot on. On their run of form, they have spanked teams 5-0 so I suspect they have different ways of playing and winning games. Fair play to them.

I agree about the subs and Goodrham, Rodrigues should have gone off. However, Josh MC was good in the first half but struggled in the second.

Goodrham is a great no 10 type player. I'm obviously not comparing ability but he reminds me of a David Silva type player, great ball control, bags of energy, low centre of gravity and looks to move it quickly with lots of cute passes. Technically very sound.

Yes fair enough, there were some teams we didn't dominate possession against.

Possession stats generally demonstrate that you don't need to dominate possession all the time to win matches which is the outlier example of Leicester. However, there is a but and that but is that stats show that you are more likely to win matches if you dominate possession. Yesterday was...

I'm not worrying, I was firmly in the give Buckingham time camp, to stamp his progressive style on the team. I'm just pointing out that if those stats are correct , there will be times where we will be punished for giving teams that much possession.
