    Current Player #39 Gatlin O'Donkor

Quick, strong, thought process and ability to read the game "way to go".

Manager/Coach Joe Moore - First Team Analyst

Does any one think this appointment will influence our performances in any way whatsoever. Another unnecessary post/expense which will not cover up managerial deficiencies on the pitch or behind the scenes.

    Current Player #16 Tyler Burey

We need players that deliver on match day not the training pitch. If Burey has an attitude problem that is for the manager to sort out, if he can't he should examine his own managerial ability. If he can't motivate a difficult player then he has to unload him.

Home Match Day Thread 24/02/2024 L1: OUFC v Leyton Orient

Draw lots for who plays, send them out and say "do it your way", could that be less or more effective than Des's negative non management of any game. If he hadn't inherited a healthy set of points we would be in deep ...... by now. I cannot remember a game under his management when I felt...

    Current Player #8 Cameron Brannagan

Maybe those primarily there to score goals should shoot a little more often?

Missed that, not up to it at this level and shows no sign of getting there.

Away Match Day Thread 27/01/2024 L1: Bristol Rovers v OUFC

Team packed with defenders and midfielders and a sole striker who can't strike and we let in three goals against a Sunday League side. Something is wrong big time.

Of an era when players were still committed to their clubs. R.I.P. remember you well , could do with you now!

General Should Des get the players in to train on Christmas Day?

Unless we are going to alter our approach ( 75 % sideways or backwards) days off seem irrelevant. Perhaps part of the problem is lack of strikers, neither Harris or O'Donkor seem capable of reading/anticipating the build up play, both run around to little purpose, if that's all we're looking for...

Away Match Day Thread 09/12/2023 L1 : Peterborough United v OUFC

Speed versus commitment/delivery, something is missing. Speed is not enough if you can't read the game and use that speed to take advantage of it.

Away Match Day Thread 09/12/2023 L1 : Peterborough United v OUFC

We seem to think that possession counts for every thing even when we are behind as match stats show. Reality, as we all know, is that only goals matter and we have srikers that can't strike. Can't fault the work rate of Harris but work rate alone is not enough, O'Donkor is big fast and strong...

Away Match Day Thread 25/11/2023 L1: Cheltenham Town v OUFC

We were truly awful. I thought players might be trying to impress a new manager, not so. We were lethargic, our percentage of possession shows how much we prat around without purpose. 10 passes to end up in a worse position than the first underlines our need to be more incisive. When we were...

Ref Watch Oxford United V Bristol Rovers L1 7/10/2023 Simon Mather

Kettle's title is in tatters. Purkiss now looks fair. I suspect that the EFL sanctions clubs accurately reporting on matches where a referee's performance has been dire. Wouldn't it be nice if the powers that be recognised the problem and attempted to sort it out? I have watched football for 7...

    Chairman Too Many Chiefs

I thought they were on the board. Partridge could be a winner. If Niall stands out it shows to me how inept the rest of them are.

Yes, it seems to me that I have supported the team that long, have you? It would also seem that your replies invalidate IQ tests. . Time to sign off, main points missed. My two sons and I clock up 150 years of HUFC/OUFC support, some may care more but I doubt it..

    Chairman Too Many Chiefs

Scotchegg, please get the gist of my rare posts and tone down your obsession with McWilliams. I'm sure that he's a decent well intentioned chap trying to do his best but my remarks were aimed at securing a slimmed down, efficient and successful board and management structure. I am not lazy or...

    Chairman Too Many Chiefs

So some of us are happy with the structure and presumably the resultant performances? Success in any business comes from having a goal (we don't get many!) with a tight focussed and competent (management) team to achieve it . I note previous remarks praising ex-schoolteacher but if he stands...
