    FA Cup FA Cup 2024/2025

They’ll have that covered. If the EFL team doesn’t win in 90 minutes then the EPL team will go through by default. If they could swing it, they would want all EPL teams to join in the 4th round, except for the four who have Champions League commitments who go straight to the semi-finals.

Ref Watch 16/4/24 Oxford United v Lincoln City - Lee Swabey

He must have been bad. Lincoln won, and with a debatable penalty, and he’s struggling to get more than a one on their forum. Some thought he was a ‘homer’! https://forums.vitalfootball.co.uk/threads/rate-the-ref-away-to-oxford-16-04-2024.137920/

    General League One Agent’s Fees

Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere, but it makes a good conversation piece. OUFC are mid-table (9th). Overall £5.2m going out of the game and into agent’s pockets! It seems that Derby’s financial worries are well and truly resolved. Ditto Reading, who splashed £400k on agents alone...

Ref Watch 14/04/2024: L1: OUFC v Peterborough - Andy Davies

Ref’s are always better when we win. There are still some stinkers around though.

    Current Player #18 Marcus McGuane

I’m not questioning his footballing ability tbh, just a cheap gag on the races comment.

Shame that he’s a footballer and not a jockey

    Matches Top 6 Race 2023/24

There's an (optimistic) argument to say that there are now four teams fighting for two places. Peterborough and Barnsley, despite their games in hand, could be dragged into it.

General Rules Changes - Your Opinion

Exactly this. You can mess around with the rules as much as you like, but it’s a waste of time (pun intended) if the officials decide, for whatever reason, not to enforce them.

General Rules Changes - Your Opinion

Similar to the law that says that the ‘keeper can only hold the ball for 5-6 seconds? As I said earlier, I would settle for the officials applying the existing laws consistently. What happened to the law that said that an injured player doesn’t need to go off if the foul resulted in a yellow...

    Current Player #23 Josh Murphy

Not only didn’t he score, but he didn’t even make an effort to get on the ball, let alone chasing back.

    Ref Watch 16/03/24 - L1: Port Vale v OUFC - Jeremy Simpson

He tried to play advantage but there was an offside (Harris?) in the build up play, so he went back to the original free kick. He seemed reluctant to show a card, however at least he was consistent with it.

    Celtic

Obviously a wasted opinion in Glasgow, but I’d prefer to keep politics and religion out of football.

    Celtic

I’m fairly sure that the English FA banned Israeli and Palestinian flags, so was surprised that SFA didn’t do something similar.

    Celtic

Seems the SFA are happy for Celtic fans to wave a huge Palestinian flag at their game v Motherwell.
