Who cares? It's no-one's business. If he chooses to remain private, that's up to him.

Agree- I think we've played pretty well since Bolton. We're good- but not that good. Nothing that 4-5 really good quality L1 players in the summer won't sort. Look at how Dale has performed- he was quite rated at Blackpool, but certainly not a stand-out player. In every promotion team in the...

PS. 'Quite well' was a joke btw.

He was injured when he joined. Came on for his debut at Bristol Rovers as a sub.

    Manager/Coach Des Buckingham

I was really concerned a couple of months ago that Buckingham was a poor appointment. But I’ve seen enough in the last few weeks to show that I was wrong. Even if we make the playoffs, I don’t think we’ll make it. We’re pretty good, but not good enough. We’ll need 5-6 good standard L1 players in...

Home Match Day Thread 19/04/2024: L1 - OUFC v Stevenage

It ain't over. We win that game nine times out of ten. Play like that at Exeter and we'll win. Lincoln aren't going to win the next two.

Home Match Build Up 19/04/2024: L1 - OUFC v Stevenage

Have to say, I saw him interviewed a few months ago, and I was vv surprised. Came across as pleasant and intelligent. I read somewhere that his matchday 'antics' are not representative of the way he behaves elsewhere. He certainly knows how to put a lower league team together. Did a brilliant...

I'd far rather watch football like the last few weeks than how we played under Manning. I know it was very successful, but it was also very boring to watch.

    Current Player #23 Josh Murphy

I think we’ve got a pretty good chance of keeping him, whatever division we’re in. He’s been brilliant for the last 2-3 months, but before that he was very disappointing for 18 months. He’s been in the Championship before, and didn’t exactly tear it up while he was at Cardiff. Not so sure a...

Home Match Day Thread 13/04/2024: L1: OUFC v Peterborough

He’s still one of our best players, and is definitely a standout L1 player. But agree he needs to stick to a specific role. Now that we have found our rhythm, I’m sure Buckingham will make it clear how he needs to play. McEachren amazed me yesterday. Different player to the cautious sideways...

That was our our best 90 minute performance since the mid 90’s. What I really liked is that after 3-0, we just kept on running at them. Brilliant stuff- all we have to do is keep this up for the next four weeks, and we’ll be promoted!

I'm astonished at the turnaround since Bolton. I genuinely thought Buckingham was going to have to go. Really pleased to be proved wrong. If we do get in the playoffs, we'll be the form team. And the form team nearly always gets through the playoffs!

Unbelievably good performance. Just as organised as it was under Manning. But so much more enjoyable to watch. I'm amazed at the turnaround in the last few weeks.

Sensational stuff. Best 45 minutes all season. Can't believe the turnaround in the last few weeks. Keep the pressure on, and we'll get 4 or 5. They can't cope with our pace. I had no idea McEachren could play like this.

    Transfer News Summer Transfer Preview

Can I be the first to float the name Kofi Balmer? Northern Ireland. Right back/centre back. Made a strange move from Larne to Palace two years ago. We were interested in him back then. On a free this summer. Been on loan to AFCW this season, who really rate him. Long throw, so if all else fails...

Ref Watch 06/04/2024: L1 Burton Albion v OUFC - Will Finnie

I thought he was great. Genuinely. Let everyone get on with it. Most of the Burton 'grappling' was a waste of time anyway, as their players were so slow. More like him, please.

Away Match Day Thread 06/04/2024: L1 Burton Albion v OUFC

I listened to Radio Derby on the way back. About 40 minutes or so- and all about the game. Burton commentators were very complimentary about us, especially about Murphy. The Burton manager sounded on the verge of tears. Said he'd warned his players repeatedly about how quick we were on the...

Home Match Day Thread 01/04/2024: L1 OUFC v Fleetwood Town

So do I. But as I can only make a game every four weeks or so, I will only go to the Kassam if I really, really have to. The only ground that even approaches the Kassam in overall awfulness is Adams Park imo.

Home Match Day Thread 01/04/2024: L1 OUFC v Fleetwood Town

I now live abroad, but try to get to 8-10 games/season. Wherever possible, I'll go to away games. I've been to 70+ grounds over the years- nearly all of them supporting Oxford. The Kassam is imo the worst ground of the 72. Complete dump. Shocking transport links. Horrible catering. Disgusting...
