Just watched the ‘welcome’ video on YouTube, and it’s another fine example of the positive influence that Karl Robinson has on players. Every single player has cited that his enthusiasm, plans for the club, and passion for the game are the main reasons that they have joined us.

The atmosphere around the club is clearly positive, or players like Joseph simply wouldn’t be here!

Who said we wouldn't sign players?! Could we go into transfer deadline day without needed anyone...

What do we really need now? A couple of full backs, a forward player? c. 3 weeks to play with to do 3 deals.

Two up front now? Or Joseph on the right of a front three? Or in place of Taylor?

With the 5 subs there will be a chance to fit more players in but they can’t all start do it will be interesting to see what Robinson has in mind.

He can play right wing back as well. A move to 3 at the back maybe?

I know a little bit about Joseph, and he is pretty well regarded as an excellent prospect. Very athletic and has a lot of self-belief, definitely backs himself to succeed, and has a good level of aggression. Although he can play wide in a 433 if need be, I really hope he isn’t turned into a wing back. He’s very much a striker.

On paper a really good addition.

We don't need or have to fill the squad cap. With Bate and Joseph likely to feature regularly, I'd be surprised if we signed enough to fill it.

There's a suggestion that a 3rd overage goalkeeper does count, but I can't find anything to confirm this. And would expect one to go out on loan before the window is closed anyway.

We don't need to fill every squad place available. It will allow us to be flexible in January,
