League Cup 2022/23 Carabao Cup R2 draw

Can't see 10k attendance game in week after next?. People on holidays etc money tight. Perhaps 7/8 k if our results keep on picking up?

So, according to RageOnline (as usual), our last competitive game against Palace was 1998. 3-1 defeat at home on Boxing Day.
I don't remember that one, but I do remember going to Selhurst Park for a 2-0 defeat earlier that season, because they randomly had 'The Bald Eagle' Attilio Lombardo in the team, and I think El Tel was managing them?

Last win against them was before my time (watching games at least). 1-0 win in March 89.....David Bardsley with the goal.
We got a 2-2 draw at Selhurst Park in 96/97, seem to remember Massey getting a late equaliser and cracking atmosphere.

I think John Salako scored a cracker that day at the Manor, and ran all the way up the pitch to the Cuckoo Lane end to celebrate.

Apart from the fence we have a better visual for tv! Plus a bigger attendance. Trouble is Crawley Fulham is a classic mismatch crappy stadium etc as is fgr

Direct from a corner.

Much better to play them at home. Their place is a dump, hard to get to and low crowd in prospect. Be good to play them at our place.
Real football ground and atmosphere. Friend has a season ticket and one of the few, possibly only premier league places that escapes the prawn sandwiches brigade and football tourists from Ireland and Scandinavia!

Windass free-kick in front of the cuckoo lane in that 3-1 game.

I agree with that, but not for a mid-week EFL match with lower league opponents.

There looked like a tour group in the East Stand yesterday.
