From that list I think we could do a lot worse than Brendan Galloway - also one KR will be familiar with from MK
Interesting that Pantuche Camara is registered with them too, given our connections to them with a fair few of our players & he’s in the last year of his deal. Should be the type of player we are at least enquiring about

What is so frustrating about all this is remembering how you said exactly the same things last season. Why can't we have proper cover at full-back? Why is Mous still part of the squad when his legs have clearly gone? Why are we prioritising wingers over other areas that need more attention? Are we taking too many gambles with injury-prone players?

The club is definitely in a good spot but it doesn't feel like we are learning or evolving, that's my feeling at the minute. I have no doubt that we'll be decent this year, score lots of goals, play good football - but after three years of going close, I feel like we need to be demanding a bit more now.

KR has been backed - again (not many L1 clubs could secure CamBran to a three-year contract). We need to push on. KR has done a lot of good things for OUFC but if we fall short again - particularly if it's down to the same mistakes again - maybe a change there could be required although I'd still be interested to see how a transfer window would shape up for us with his transfer responsibility shared with a DoF.

Yeah but the window isn’t over.

If we get to Sept 1 and we’re still in the same position then by all means quote yourself but we’re clearly a cake half baked at the moment.

Absolutely true

Think we all know this, and I am sure the management do too. It is a concern, but we're clearly playing a high stakes game to try and bring in good quality.

Once again...judge after the transfer window has closed.

Been told the same, missed out on all our targets , no plan b.
How can we have missed out on so many targets? Are the terms offered not competitive, do they not to play for kr, have they heard something about the club?

Yep. I think we have to wait before a final judgement on Sept 1st.
If the budget is there for quality signings I don't want or expect our usual last minute.com fiasco to play out. Serious questions about what has gone on will have to be asked. But let's be patient for a while longer.

I'm sure if terms were poor or anything was wrong at the club numerous players wouldn't have signed new contracts as they would know better than most the goings-on at the club.

It's probably more that a lot of the targets are going to higher or richer clubs, so we could be aiming too high - though the fact that some have gone to MK suggests we're possibly deficient in the schmoozing department.

As per, the slightest hint of not getting our way for a few days and the toys are out the pram. I love the constructive conversation/debate on here but then we always end up back in this toxic place whether it's good news, bad news or no news. We've got so little to moan about. It's pathetic.
Come on it's more than a few days its been all summer. kr has the budget, the supposed targets and recruits under the same conditions as every other manager, yet it OUFC again that are flapping their arms towards the end of the transfer window, when almost all other clubs remembered the season started last week and made sure all resources were in place.

For kr to say he's tried to get players in but has failed has to have some substance behind it, in terms of why are there no backups.
He wields far too much power at the club, seemingly being the lone voice on who comes in and who doesn't.
Another week passes, and even though it's quite widely accepted what positions need filling, nothing seems to be happening.
The comments about possibly needing only a single back player, when both the left side and right side need more quality was quite remarkable. Then to drop a hint that goulding may be used, when he is no where near ready for Div1 football was an early indication to fans that the defensive situation, like the forward situation last season isnt going to be addressed.
Why the hell have such a healthy budget if he doesn't spend i in area that need filling?

Things can happen fast, but starting to sound like (from the lack of ITK rumours) we're going to go into the Cambridge game without any new additions.

That's not the end of the world because we do have 14-15 good solid League One players in the squad who ought to be good enough to win this match. But bloody hell, it's a high risk situation. If any of Matty Taylor, Sam Long, Cam Bran or McGuane should turn an ankle in the first five minutes then we're having to replace them with either an untested kid, a guy who's coming back from long-term injury and is nowhere near match fit or someone playing wildly out of position. All of which would severely impact our chances of winning a game that we should be winning if we want to be playoff challengers (at least).

Wishlist is still the same as it was this time last week, and the same as after the game on Saturday - RB, LB, CM, Striker and ideally (but less urgently) another winger.........
