Just wondering whether Can had a handshake with Appleton? ………zzbut only today thanks but no thanks and MAPP thinking oh no not again
perhaps not everybody is as far up his ass as some on here still seem to beJust shows how s**t Blackpool is not even the pull to play for Michael Appleton is enough for players to want to join
At first I heard Wildschut was expected to be out 6 weeks and Baldock back for the end of September.Hi UTO, Noticed that the official Derby match review said Baldock and Wildschut would be out for 2 months. Has Wildschuts hamstring injury better that Xmas return
Who are you starting at RW todayAt first I heard Wildschut was expected to be out 6 weeks and Baldock back for the end of September.
Then there was whispers midweek that Wildschuts hamstring was worse than originally thought and potentially an operation. If he was going to need the operation, it would be longer than the 2 months the article said.
So fingers crossed it’s not the case and both he and Baldock are back and available at the end of September!
I get the feeling that people in football see Michael Appleton more of a temporary troubleshooter for struggling teams than a manager that can deliver success over a period of time. He's certainly taken over a lot of teams in difficult situations previous but really only cemented himself and experienced success with us. I think he's a great manager who can build a team, motivate and deliver in the long run but too often he finds himself at teams experiencing issues and that shadows his potential and other people's confidence in him.Just shows how s**t Blackpool is not even the pull to play for Michael Appleton is enough for players to want to join

Blackpool being an absolute dump and with surrounding areas being no better, it's also a pretty hard sell to get people to go there. Appleton himself is only about an hour away from his hometown so it's a convenient move for him but prospective signings wont be so enthused about the area and perhaps nor the manager himself if they feel the club is going nowhere.
He’s just been given a 4yr deal at a Championship club with one of the best and most progressive owners in English football.
I echo his statement to youHe’s just been given a 4yr deal at a Championship club with one of the best and most progressive owners in English football.
We’ve been through this, apparently there are nice bits. Agree that he has an image of not sticking around, but I think he might do OK there.I get the feeling that people in football see Michael Appleton more of a temporary troubleshooter for struggling teams than a manager that can deliver success over a period of time. What is the "best and most progressive owner in English football" based on?
bet Appleton doesnt stay there for 4 years. He’s just been given a 4yr deal at a Championship club with one of the best and most progressive owners in English football.
Like any football club,if there is a sensible expectation and it's delivered give or take he will be fine.
Flirt with relegation or fall hrough the trap door to League 1 and he'll likely be gone.
On a seperate note i find the dispespect for other football clubs rather distasteful, Barnsley and now more recently Blackpool, the latter who have gone through awful Ownership experience rather like ourselves.
Lots of talk about this on Twitter now. I’m not on Instagram but allegedly he’s gone around liking all the signings on there as well if there’s anything in that these days.I've got a feeling we may see Todd Kane in an Oxford shirt soon.

More than likely an exaggeration on Twitter then I suspect!!I can only see him having 'liked' the Jodi Jones announcement, which isn't abnormal seeing as they were Coventry teammates
