Sorry to drag up an old thread, but has anyone seen the free Tommy Robinson banner on the m40 near Thame that has a huge cock and hairy balls spray painted over it?
 
Nope...... mind you the whole "frothing at the mouth", "free tommy" and "sign this petition" appears to have run out of steam...... the banner sounds rather apt.

I saw it last Friday, before it was defaced. Shocking. I am pleased it has been defaced.

Had he said that, then it would have been a point worth exploring. But he didn't. He said that Islam, and therefore Muslims, were a nasty murderous cult. I think, therefore, that he is a blinkered/racist idiot. I could be wrong.
 
I suspect it's part racism and part frustration at what they perceive is they are not being listened to or marginalised. I notice Robinson has tried to reform himself but some of his followers are the same loyal sheep that they were before.

A smarter person would have understood that the "deep state" was out to get him and not be so brazen in ruining a court case.

And anyone is entitled to express concerns about Islamic extremists. I'm rather concerned about them myself. But I can disentangle that concern from my opinions about the vast majority of Muslims who follow that same Islam religion but don't turn into terrorists.

Islam is not the problem. The very small number of Muslims who become terrorists, usually the more feeble-minded who can be manipulated and radicalised by others, are the problem.

Poster CassOx has been quiet since branding people as imbeciles for not supporting his anti-Islam views. Well, that was because he failed to target the extremist few, preferring to brand all Muslims as a potential problem.

I posted the clip because it shows 5 people (well 4.5) can have an adult discussion about issues that this area of the forum in particular and wider society in general cant without name calling. Tommy Robinson went to jail for breaking the law, his actions could have collapsed a trial and free people he wants locked up. I don't see any reason why he should be freed or why people feel the need to sign a pointless petition.

You watched all the clip but chose to comment on Cassox, I don't agree with what he says but the first reply to his first post called him an "ignorant idiot" and a "bit thick", this from a self acclaimed intelligent caring left winger. Anybody having an opinion different to the lefty mob in this area of the forum is jumped all over, is that why you removed your first post on this thread? Or did you think there was an issue and now you don't? Daring to suggest there may be an issue is what Sarah Champion did and Corbyn sacked her despite muslim politicians supporting her yet Jew bashing seems fair game in the party, why is this? There is clearly an issue with grooming, to what extent and who is responsible seems to be a political ball being batted about/ignored/covered up and this gives the likes of Tommy a platform to raise issues about Muslims which are real but also choose to ignore the Jimmy Savilles of this world. We have a daily report on Trump but no mention of the political situation in Germany or why the party propping up Merkel may walk away.

You cant put something right if you don't admit there is anything wrong.

And this is the crux. A disproportionate number of grooming gangs appear to be made up of Asians, this needs to be accepted and addressed, but that doesn't mean all vulnerable youngsters need to fear all Asians.

The reason I railed against Cassox was because he used similar generalisations, stating we should all fear Islam. He then tried to differentiate between Islam and Muslims. He failed to make his point. If he dislikes Islam, he dislikes its adherents too. (And talking of name calling he the referred to those opposing his views as 'two year olds'. No moral high ground there).

PS I'll probably delete this after a few days too, depending on responses.

"not being listened to or marginalised" = I feel main reason behind Brexit. I know that's another debate, not, for this forum. Heaven help us.

Pete, I can assure you I havent hacked your account or the forum to dig out deleted posts, I was going to reply on saturday morning and started to respond but was interupted and when I got back to replying on sunday I just continued where I had left it.

I dont post in this area of the forum because I generally disagree with everyone left and right, although I do agree with the tone of your response. My point ref Cassox was not to suggest he had any moral high ground, just that he was on the same ground as all the other insult throwers.
 
I read over the weekend reference the Truth Project, part of the huge Independent Inquiry on Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA), which was set up by Theresa May when she was Home Secretary.

A woman called Nabila 42, was abused by her Iman. She stated that ""abuse is rife in Muslim communities, but never discussed, always covered up. The culture is, "we will deal with this, we dont need anyone's help" - but we dont tackle it. There is abuse is almost every Asian family. They get away with it in their own community, and then they target vulnerable white girls. This culture has got to change"".
 
People usually delete posts after re reading them and realising perhaps they were wrong and came across a bit of a fool. You can detest Islam and not detest Muslims as Muslims are the people who are harmed most by that despicable cult.....hope that clears a few things up ;)
