Transfer targets?

A club offers an 11 year old the chance to join them and as part of the contract the club have to pay him several thousands and agree to pay his parents enough money "each"that neither has to ever work again for the rest of their lives.
Football has gone bonkers.

At the risk of asking this forum's most stupid question, why can't I see this thread in the player's section?

Is that what we’ve done? Haha

I can't see there's any way a player as far away from the first team as he is would be on £10k a week, more like £4-5k I think... the problem is what we would be offering would still be a big drop, half maybe?

I’ve heard from a couple the figure of £8-£9k a week. This website seems to suggest 9k. Agree that it sounds high but this is modern football we’re talking about.

Can't see him ripping up his Chelsea contract to join us (or anyone else). I would hope he would join us for the season on loan. He might be holding out for a Championship club . He's probably good enough for that level.

Who's to say Chelsea will let him rip up his contract? As part of the slightly new model of recent years Chelsea have been making good money from selling on their large surplus of talented youngsters. Remember that financial fair play is a factor for the big clubs now. Maybe this is less about what wages he will accept and more about what fee Chelsea want for him?

I believe you can double your original figure..

Got to be a big week for new players surely?

Couple in today would do nicely!

Jeez, don’t professional footballers have enough spare time to do a little bit of gardening!
