Current Player Marcus Browne

‘An armchair fan of a TV team’

I’m pretty sure that I’ve been to more Oxford games than you’ve had hot dinners.
Our oven has a blockage in the gas flow so we've stopped using it for a couple of days to get it properly checked over. So that gives you a distinct advantage over the Scotchegg household with no hot dinners this weekend!!

Kebab? Indian? Chinese? Maybe that’s not such a bad thing after all..

He has been poor all season? If you can tell me one game that he has been above 5 or 6/10, I’ll listen to what you’re saying.

He was good - at least a 7 - against Burton, so I don't have to go back too far in my memory.

But that's not my point. He's been a 5 or 6 in the majority of the games this season. Meaning he's been 'OK' or 'Average'.

He's only been genuinely poor in a handful of games.

Which is all to say that he's been disappointing this year, and not the player we all know he can be and has been.
But ranting that he's been rubbish all year is neither true nor helpful!

Anyways, PC is right. This thread ought to be about Marcus Browne. So I'll shut up about James Henry.......

‘Player-bashing’ 😅 So because you have been poor against teams at the top of the table but manage to play okay against teams in the bottom six, that means that all is forgotten and you’re back to your best? I’m not arguing the point. He has been well below the standard we expect from him.
You didn't say that. You said that it was a 'fact' that he had been poor all season

He has though? 3 goals and 2 assists in 20 league games is poor. Sam Long has more goals and assists. In fact, so does Josh Ruffels..

Is he what we need or just episode #73 of lets get that former winger back again?

I had very happily have him if fit as he'd be an upgrade imo. He can play anywhere across the front so gives flexibility. If the Ryan Williams rumour about him going to Australia is true then he'd be a fantastic replacement.

Also if KR now intends playing Whyte through the middle it opens up a wide player. Can see Cooper leaving too… Certanly a good player who KR likes and would appear the player likes coming here so I fit one would welcome the move!!!

If there is any chance that we can bring Browne back in its a no brainer for me, the guy is a game changer and versatile,
a definate upgrade on most of the squad he also ticks boxes off the pitch as well. I`m a fan and would be very happy to
see him back in the building.
