The top part could be pointed at Johnson and this Govt as well considering they pushed the benefits of HS2 at the last election.

Now Kier about those tweets.......

Yes...and as he explained in the interview on BBC breakfast. He was objecting on the basis of the of the impact on his constituents and the disruption and destruction it has caused around Euston, the chosen end destination....in his constituency.

He said he always advocated using Old Oak Common as the London hub with links to Crossrail, rather than shoehorning it in to already creaking infrastructure in the Euston area.

What was it you said about mountains out of molehills the other day 🤷‍♂️

The other good point he made was that if the Government were committed to "powering up" the North, then why not start HS2 at the top and work down 🤷‍♂️

The same principle ought to apply to this MASSIVE (old money, mostly) £96 billion investment. And they also really ought to consider not stopping the NPR route at the Yorkshire Border. . . .if they were really serious about this levelling up stuff (but we already know they're not).

Actions speak louder than words and Boris is severely lacking on the former...and always has been (unless of course you believe the horseshit that he got Brexit done :ROFLMAO: )

uffle those deckchairs.................

Rayner has already called this about keeping her at arm's length as rubbish after Laura Kuenssberg tried stirring by making up this non-story earlier claiming it was messy and confusing, the only one confused was Kuenssberg.

Edit: If rumours of Yvette Cooper coming back is true then that is good step.

Shuffle those deckchairs.................

IDK...I think that up on deck with a clear view of what lies ahead, and near the lifeboats, is probably the best place to be. And immeasurably better than the Tories who complacently continue to trough away in the banqueting hall on the exact same ship, with a bloated swill-stained Mr Creosote-esque Boris exclaiming "I see no Icebergs....or ships" ;) :ROFLMAO:

Yvette Cooper would be a good addition with her experience.
I wish there were places for Alan Johnson and Ed Balls but they’re history as far as MPs go.
So long as Diane Abbott has nothing to do with deciding how many immigrants are coming in and in and being processed

Both the BBC and Sky seem.to think that what happened today ( and last time there was a reshuffle) meant something is going on. Both Rayner and Starmers camps were appatently briefing against each other.
I reckon that had Rayner not been elected by the members ( so can't be sacked) she would have been demoted to the backbenchers.

And yes Yvette Cooper would be a big step up from most of the Labour front bench.

The previous shadow Home Secretary didn’t make much impact.
I had never heard of him. Yvette Cooper still only 52. I bet she and Ed will be having a little drink or two tonight
