I can’t for one second believe astute businessman if they wanted to buy a football club would say right let’s let the club go into administration and lose 12 points then we will take it over.
A look our clubs shareholding (please somebody help me out here as I am busy doing jobs) shows the 3 big money men have 51% between them. All will be announced soon enough I think. Maybe they would all like to be here at that time and although I don’t know any of the people saying this will happen but they seem to all be respected posters.

Sometimes when reading this forum I think people almost want the club to fail so they can moan, I know isn’t true but sometimes it just sounds that way.
Why only 51%? You would have thought with their sort of money they would have gone for the majority. It would give them more clout in the boardroom surely.

People are certainly looking for problems that don't exist. Businessmen at this level don't play about with things on a whim.

The plan has been clear from day one; develop the club from grassroots (invest in youth structure, build links with the community etc), have a sustainable business model (buy cheap and sell for a profit), get success on the pitch (championship remains the target), and have our own stadium (will definitely not be staying at the Kassam!!!). The only reason it hasn't been formally presented as such is that it then becomes a weight around the necks of those making it happen. But the evidence is there for all to see (or will be very soon!!)

A lot of time and money has been spent getting us to where we are, and no one is going to throw this away for Derby! I don't know timeframes but I do know that once everything becomes clear even the most cynical will struggle to find something to moan about.

It's not as if there are competing interests here. The board have all worked with each other on several projects and are all agreed on the direction the club is going in.
Just would have thought they may have gone for 80+% but yes I know what you mean about the board working together. All we need is that statement announcing the change of ownership

itll be when the new board can present a visually spectacular announcement ... probably not long after oct 4th ?

Not sure I buy the physical location of parties as the reason for the delay. Zoom, MS Teams, Skype, DocuSign, Email etc have all been used to help keep the wheels turning for the rest of the world during the past 18 months.
If I was in the process of buying a club in the current climate, I’d want to make sure we have definitely passed the point of there being any more lockdowns on the horizon, and the prospect of playing in front of an empty stadium again.

Going off track, but I think we're pretty much there. I can't see national lockdowns unless we find that the vaccines become ineffective or new variances come through. Localised lockdowns may happen if cases spike, but I would guess that we would more likely see more restrictve practices, ie. Covid passports, mandatory mask wearing etc.
