That cherry tree is bearing fruit already. Excellent.

So selected representatives of the currently unelected FC, which has officially met once and has yet to set its ToR or decide its structure, is already officially meeting the club to decide what needs doing?

Just so we are all clear.

Steady Essex. You’ll only go upsetting them. They travelled in all off their own backs you know..

I wonder if the famous five will reveal themselves…

Or have they got something to hide..

I wonder if they now regret trying to help.....

Fans give up their own time to try and improve things for others and are vilified by the forum stalker and our Essex friend who is beginning to make Kip look like a little ray of positivity sunshine!!!

How difficult is it for some to grasp that whilst a fans council (or OxVox) can be entirely independent of all club involvement, they do have to meet with the club to actually make a difference. And if that helps communicate concerns about the toilets or sets clear structures for future meetings, then what's the issue?

I couldn't give a toss who the famous 5 are, what their social economic background is, or whether they all got a fans council golden ticket and free cup of tea from NMcW! But I do thank them for getting involved and hope it leads to better things for all of us.

Anyway, I'm going back into hiding until these bloody announcements are made!! Exciting times ahead!!!*

Not vilified thank you, just questioning as is the idea of a forum.

Where was the opportunity for anyone to chip in?

I thought the whole idea of the FC was about "inclusivity and engagement" not opportunities for the chosen.

Good start.

But you and Junior keep asking the same questions that have already been answered a number of times.

Questioning (repeatedly) the integrity of those involved whilst doing absolutely nothing yourself!

Good start!!!

So, back to the ‘consortium takeover’ business. I take it that the general feeling now is that there wasn’t actually going to be a takeover as such, just a jostling of position from some of the stakeholders. Still presumably good news if they are increasing their investment?

it really would be nice if Tiger or somebody could clarify the situation. If Tiger is still the majority shareholder and others are just chipping in more funds so to speak, it surely doesnt need anybody to jump on a plane to come over to tell us. A simple press release clarifying the situation would suffice.

I don't think the 'ITKners' are saying that at all but could be wrong.

For someone who is supposedly blocked you have done well to read my posts..

As for stalker, if the cap fits and all that. I’d be more concerned about yourself and the way you handle yourself around the stadium than worrying about me.. Must be the PG in you..

Can’t speak for EY but I certainly am not questioning the 5’s integrity.

ML comes across on here as a good person to be involved and one (based from his posts on here) who’ll ask the right question.

As EY said, how did the 5 come to be in that position? What merits were they picked from and why?

What was the point in the FSF’s meeting the other day if they need further input?

Why the training ground and why was input, no matter how minimal taken from 3 representatives of Oxford Utd..

Are fans not allowed to know that? They are supposedly (potentially) representing us.

I’ve also exchanged emails with the SLO about the original concept so will also mention this to him. Let’s hope it gets picked up this time..

Now, if you’ll allow the two posters to answer Scotchegg that’ll be appreciated.

Unless you were one of the 5…….

I think they've probably already answered your questions elsewhere.

Maybe, maybe not.

Certainly haven’t answered on the questions about yesterday. If they choose not too it could suggest to people looking in that it’s not as it’s set out to be..

We shall see….

Stop it. We are a group of engaged supporters/fans giving up our own time to help other supporters/fans. We are setting up something which does not yet exist. We have told the club we will be independent. We are setting up the route for anybody to be part of the process. We do not seek any reward from the club. We are not being given any expenses for our time or travel. We are actively seeking the best way to represent all supporters. All diversities, all the teams under the club's umbrella, ladies, under 18's, first team etc. etc.
We happened to be able to have a meeting today (5 of us) at the training ground. Andy Taylor was present for part of the meeting as the SLO. Chris Williams dropped in to advise on the web site and how we could have a presence. Nail McWilliams popped in to see if we had been offered any tea/coffee, Marcus McGuane and Mous were outside training along with other players from the academy etc.

There was no conspiracy. As engaged fans/supporters we talked about things related to the club. We talked about how we should set up the Fans Council.
We dealt with the issues of how to make the whole thing transparent and available to all.

Oh yes, while we were there, this bloody helicopter landed on the playing field, but I can't tell you about that.
cheers for the earlier update & the insight @Manorlounger

obviously, a Fans Council has to start somewhere & somehow...and putting in building blocks, such as the 'informal' meeting of 5 at the training ground, to get a fans council 'officially' up n running, is necessary. These kind of things don't get off the ground with all guns blazing immediately, an infrastructure and responsibilities of those on the council, as well as any mandates require defining, among other things

that said, I think it would be handy, ( as well as open and transparent), in future, for those meeting in a fans council capacity, as in representing the interests of the wide OUFC fan base to, where possible, to make the fans council representatives known to the fan base, as well as their function on the fans council, as in whos OUFC interests they are representing. And to invite input/ items for discussion/inclusion on the agenda from as much of the wider fan base as is possible

Good luck with getting the fans council up , running and firing on all cylinders , and soon.... and please, all involved keep it inclusive and transparent

Mate this sounds weird, is it a gay thing I don’t understand? I don’t think this neighbourhood watch committee is as exciting as you imagine
