General Season ticket prices

Exactly the sort of thing they should be doing rather than sitting back and waiting.
During the season you get a weekly update mail, so utilise the close season to work on forward selling.
It's not complex really.
You know better than all the professional marketing people at the club, despite being an internet random?

It's also what happens when you have a squad that's valued at €69m and are part of a 4 year TV deal for the league worth €4.4bn.

At the top clubs, matchday revenue is dwarfed by TV deals and global merchandise sales. It's great that they are able to give away free tickets, and I'd love to be able to save a few quid myself - but I also want my club to survive.
Well, yes (no chance the Union squad has a market value that high, incidentally).
However, the club (together with others) has posted huge losses due to corona. Over €7 million in fact. Certainly a big wedge, given that the club had the second lowest budget in the Bundesliga this season. It could have easily taken the money. Schalke were roundly criticised for asking fans to give proof of financial hardship when asking for a refund for their season ticket. Instead Union have come together and done "the right thing" by almost everyone. It's more about the club's reaction than anything else.

€203 for a season ticket to watch Bundesliga football, standing on a terrace, and all with a beer in your hand. Could be worse.

Bundesliga atmosphere and match experience is great! 🍻

My second team is Borussia Monchengladbach having been born out there in the early 80s. My Dad took to me the Bokelberg a few times and have visted Borussia Park a couple of times in recent years 😎

My season ticket was £430. I got to watch the home games for ‘free’ at the equivalent of £18.69 per game. Meanwhile, non-ST holders got to watch at £10 per game.

make no mistake, ST holders cash was cashflow for the club and I understand that. However, if there isn’t any kind of recompense for ST holders, I will most certainly be left wondering just how valued we are as customers to OUFC. It has nothing to do with knowing what we were buying, it is a moral compass on behalf of OUFC that i’d hope, as a ST holder is considered by the club and a ‘sweetener’ offered.
I got ridiculed for suggesting this previously but you hit the nail on the head, it’s not about fans wanting or deserving something in return as yes, most knew the likely outcome, it’s about the club acknowledging this and doing something for those fans to say thank you for still supporting the club

I for one don’t want free season tickets or handouts but as someone else suggested, coaches being put on for a big away day would not only go some way to showing their appreciation but also have the added benefit of providing a great atmosphere for the players

Will be interesting to see how the club handle it for sure

I too was slapped down for suggesting that st holders pay way more to watch games than non sts and should be compensated in some way other than a wallet I will never use.

I will be renewing whatever happens though

I’ve heard that the 1893 club members have received every perk already mentioned on this thread, plus limitless free Roly-Poly pudding and their choice of custard, cream or ice-cream at all games.

It really is a scandal.

Even I believed I’d have moved on by now.

Custard AND ice cream for me please. There's something about the hot and cold combo that brings any pudding alive.

By the time the serfs have climbed up to the blessed hallowed ground of the gods dare I suggest that there will be very little difference between the hot and cold nectar offerings , the only way around would be a catapult so it would be a quicker methodology of delivery, firstly the gods would indicate their desires , the role poly would sliced as required, sauced , the dish would be placed in a insulated box and dispatched, just think 23 home games to get it right. The south stand lower tribe would receive the mistakes in aiming, can’t you tell the season is over

Sunderland announced season ticket holders can claim last seasons money back, some asking for the year before as they were rubbish then as well.

Jam roly poly? Custard? Ice cream? How common.
Can you imagine the carnage if crepe suzette was offered , flambed supporters would not encourage other people to upgrade their seats , on the positive viewpoint it would help keep it warm on the cold winter nights

Anyone else find it a bit odd we haven’t heard anything about season tickets yet? At a time when you would think the club could really do with some cash coming in. I’d imagine pricing would’ve been pretty much sorted before the final game of the season, just put on hold until after the play offs.

I was just thinking this, the play offs should of only delayed the announcement not the planning, so the announcement should of happened once it was clear what division we are in next season.

Only one thing can be happening, billionaire new owners and free season tickets and hot dogs for everyone.
