For various reasons, injuries, suspensions, loss of form, opposition form etc, I doubted this squad of players could deliver on a few occasions this season, but without fail, they delivered on each occasion. Who would have thought we’d be in the play offs after our start to the season?
But we are, and I have faith in Karl and the boys to deliver again.
Come on you yellows.

you weren’t alone.

Recognise him but don't remember much about him - probably a good thing.

Actually going to a game seems quite odd. What was once just second nature needs a little more thought, not just because of Covid-19 but all those little routines that just fell into place have to be remembered again. Which socks do I wear? Where is my scarf, cap, is my match day jacket ready? Add on the packing of a snack for half time or do we investigate the hot dogs?
Just having to be aware that we are not sitting in our usual seats - not even in the same stand! Tickets, where are they? 6pm kick off - earlier than usual, truth be known, it's a bloody inconvenient time - too early for dinner before, bit late for after. What's the traffic going to be like? What time do we leave home?

We had better win tonight, all these nerves are going to make me ill!

Absolutely buzzing for tonight! T minus 9 hours...…………..

I will be glued to the screen from sunny Dubai as I have been for every game this season. The fact that we are still playing football this week is a credit to the whole club given the start that we had.
My 2 wishes for tonight are that....
1. We continue to play open, attacking football. The worse thing we can do is start negative and go all defensive.
2. Still be in the tie after 90 minutes and have something to play for in the 2nd leg. We are more than capable of beating these over 180 minutes.

COYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

he was a prem league ref until one of his friends forwarded a video of him apparently mocking a disabled person to his employers. He then went off and ref'd in Norway for a while, before coming back last year (I think) to the EFL.
I always remember him being a decent ref who applied common sense.

Of course!

Nerves are already kicking in. Blackpool are better than Pompey were last year, but we seem to have a knack for scoring goals at the moment, as well as keeping it at 100mph for the entire 90+ minutes, so I can see it being a late smash and grab win. 2-1, goals from Taylor and Lee. A part of me wonders whether going to Blackpool with a lead is the best thing, we're a bit rubbish at defending a lead but we're pretty decent at chasing a win. As long as the players all continue to play with the same passion and commitment that got us into the playoffs, I'll be content whatever the result of these playoffs.

This is a must not lose game in my opinion. A draw wouldn't be a bad result. We don't want to be heading to Blackpool as odds on favorites, we don't tend to do well when we are odds on. Saying that i'd take winning 4:0 tonight lol. Mind you if we did win 4:0 tonight after 30 mins in the return game we would probably be 3:0 down
COYY do us proud

The main thing going in to that second leg is we are still within a shout. 2-0 down is still doable look at the Gillingham game. Since we last played Blackpool we have been banging the goals in, 6 against Crewe, 4 against Burton, 7 against Shrewsbury in 2 games, 3 against Gillingham. Obviously Blackpool have a great defensive record but we shouldn't fear that.

I think tonight will be cagey with both teams not wanting to lose so i'm going for either a 1:1 draw or a close 2:1 win. 2nd leg will be an absolute classic with us edging it 4:3 to reach Wembley. Here's hoping anyway. COYY

Im feeling optimistic ..... play like we did against Burton, get at them from the start, and it'll be a 3-0 , maybe even 4-0 lead to go into the second leg .... play to our strengths, the mighty U's have been prolific scoring goals of late
