New club badge

Does the club shop have much of a sale to get rid of the old stock?

I noticed last night the font is quite similar to the RIDE band logo, but not exactly the same.

or just don't put them through the letters
My thoughts exactly as soon as I saw it. Irks the graphic designer in me.

Otherwise a relatively harmless change, and perfectly logical from a marketing point of view.

I like the idea of the logo, and I understand Tigers desire to make the Oxford name more prominent for the brand.

My frustration is with the reproduction quality of the Ox, which has been gradually getting worse over the past few years. The quality started deteriorating with the shield-shaped crest in 2001. The simple version on the Starter kits was poor, and now this new 2018 logo is even worse.

Granted, I do this stuff for a living, but I think these things are important. Thoughts?

I believe the away kit will be white and gold and we’ll also have an orange and dark blue third kit to nod back to Headington days. Not sure about Home kit though. Would be interesting if anyone on here has anything in the home kits design.

I've never been a fan of white kits personally.

Are you responsible for the OUFC concept kits that pop up on Twitter? If so, is there any reason you've used Puma as the kit manufacturer, other than Tiger's link to Reading? I'm pretty sure we have one more season with Starter (I read if was a 3-year deal on here in the past). Just curious, that's all. Our deal with Liontrust ends at the end of the season, so it'll be interesting to see if our next kit sponsor is Carabao.

The person on the board at OUFC who was responsible for connections with Starter has now left and I’ve heard strong rumours Puma will be manufacturing all kits. And yes, that Twitter page is me. What do you think of the home kit concept I created and posted this evening? I’ll leave an attachment here, links with Tigers ‘brand’ as it features the Ox skyline. Also links in with what was said on club website (‘links to the city itself will Be made on the home kit’). Also if anyone has any ideas for concept kits or has just heard rumours I’ll happily put them into a mock-up like this:

Nice. Hate the idea of Carabao as a shirt sponsor, regardless of its inevitability.

Only sponsor that looks worse than Carabao is Animalates.

New badge, new kit and probably new sponsor.

Question: Liontrust signed a deal through the end of the season, which would include the Rochdale game. Will they have to be compensated because they technically won’t be the sponsor for the full 3 seasons, like agreed, if the new kit has Carabao front and centre instead? Random thought popped into my head. :sneaky:

I wondered same thing. Perhaps new kit will have Liontrust featuring for this one match?

The club seem to be making a big thing of Liontrust for the Awards Dinner, so maybe that's a sweetener for not featuring on new kit?

Do like the design, would prefer if the buildings were a bit lower down so there is more yellow on the shirt. Also not sure about carabao, their logo has horns on it which makes the ox head look smaller. Good idea though!

Can we have the Mini plant instead of the “dreaming spires”…?

Anyone heard anything about the new kit? Have a feeling it’s going to be a good one this year, what with Tiger being into apparel and design and now having Puma as the manufacturer as well

Sure.

If they also sponsor the shirt and buy the stadium for us, they can have that and a detailed drawing of a Mini engine on the back of the shirt too.
