That really shows how terrible things are. A very poor Ipswich who
could have snatched it at the end. A game there for the taking. Something isn't right. We were frightened and timid, again and again playing back from their half to stevens aka a Clotet team.

Lets wait to see when Shakin' has to make a save, then we can compare him to Eastwood. Saturday will give us a better idea of a comparison.
Two clean sheets now this season... both when Stevens has been in goal.

Positives:
Shodipo worked hard

This kind of sums up where we are at doesn’t it? We’ve gone from having genuinely top L1 wingers in Fosu/Browne, to simply being happy that our winger ran around and looked like he gave a s**t whilst never actually showing much quality on the ball.
Would really like to see Cooper return soon and let’s see what he can bring.

Ipswich do have multiple injuries, I think 12 was mentioned. I guess we also do, as two is a multiple...
Come off it - it might be low now but as you well know since season start we have had many players injured and it takes time to re-build confidence and fitness and being played out of position and out of form doesn't help either - does it? Winnall, Moushino (restricted by an injury), Brannagan and Cooper unavailable, is not two.

I think we were talking about how happy we are with a point tonight, not about games earlier in the season, and our current injury list versus that of Ipswich.
Brannagan is the only player of ours in your list that would have been a starter for us... I think Ipswich have multiple first choice players out.

Currently, the only difference between Shodipo and Gino (who he so reminds of) is an extra cracking goal and he can mostly hold his defensive shape. I genuinely don't know what he brings otherwise. I really hope Marcus Browne is available and willing to come or that Cooper gets a chance and takes it to back up Obita.

To be fair to Easty though, Stevens didn't really have a save to make tonight. I did like the fact that you could hear Stevens organising his defenders though.
Apart from the critical match-saving one (given we didn't score) when he raced out of his goal to deny their striker who was through on the edge of the box - no way Eastwood was getting to that.

Needed to not lose, Stevens a clean sheet and steady defence . McGuane really come alive over the past few matches now....could've snatched a just about deserved win but didn't quite fall or chances snatched at.
I would take staying up this season more than ever now

He did make a match-winning one by coming off his line smartly to deny a one on one - don't know if I've mentioned it yet

Think a point tonight would have felt a lot better if we'd have won on Saturday - would have been 4 solid consecutive performances going into a tough game with confidence. As it is, 3 games without a win makes for much worse reading, even if we played ok.

Agyei needs to start on Saturday.Far more effective than Taylor in his brief cameo. Matty needs a rest.

Thought keeper was calm, showed presence but kicking was iffy.

We are so slow and ponderous, starting place also needed for Clare.

How are Ipswich sixth? This isn’t that good a division this season.

Think we are in a slightly false position and we’ll majestically rise up in the table to 14th eventually.

Some points:

- Whilst it wasn't a perfect performance of Jack Stevens, the defence looked so much more comfortable with him there. I think it was because JS was so vocal (and loud) with the defence, spotting threats and helping them organise. I may be wrong but I don't remember hearing Easty organising in the same way. JS was loud enough on occasion that he reminded me of how noisy Turley could be.

- McGuane and Kelly are starting to look like they may make a positive impact. A long way to go for both but there were some good moments. I liked McGuane's willingness to run at the defence even if little came of it today.

- James Henry was unlucky with his header. Also a pity Matty Taylor hadn't shown a bit more composure and knocked the ball past the keeper to run it into an empty net, rather than shoot.

- A very welcome clean sheet.

- A hell of a lot needed to work on but it is a step in the right direction after the shitshow against Swindon. I still expect us to lose to Hull.

Yes. Very good point.

You don’t think Steven’s all round performance, communication and distribution was light years ahead of Eastwood’s recent efforts? I guess people see what they want to see.

Think we are in a false position and will be halfway by the New Year.
Agyei never seems to be as effective when he starts similar to Shodipo.
