I don’t know the guy and I certainly don’t agree with everything he writes. But it really shows up those that feel the need to jump on anything he says and insult or slate him. Much of what he says really isn’t that extraordinary or contrary to our reality even if it’s a different slant to what some of us would say,

it’s a classic example of modern cancel culture where a spectrum of opinions is scorned upon (rather than valued for diversity to evolve our thinking). It’s people who try to social media silence others who aren’t perfectly aligned to their own binary truth.

This forum deserves and can do better.

Well, yes, but he’s a pantomime villain, a deliberate windup merchant who specialises in doomy, smug comments just when things are at their worst. He’s a troll really, in the original meaning of the word, and I’m sure he doesn’t need you sticking up for him.

Come on.

I don't want to argue, but I'm sure even Kip would be embarrassed by suggestions of bullying.

He's the pantomime villian, and often a fairly good one. But he undoubtedly looks for a reaction, and by Christ does he get one!

Using the same theme, I may be the annoyingly chirpy lead in the panto, skipping and thigh slapping my way through a number of cheesy songs, but that's me!! Some like it, I guess most ignore it, and a few get really angry about it! I certainly get my fair share of comments, from some who really should know better, but I don't take it personally.

Anyway, all of this is mad! We got a great result tonight, the performance in the last week has given everyone (even Kip!!) a bit of much needed hope, and we have the big game this weekend.

Let's agree to disagree, move on and be united!
 
The irony of seeing bullies claiming they get bullied, just because a few people eventually started putting them on their a**e in return for their needlessly aggressive behaviour. At least Kip is respectful and easily ignored. Not something that can be said for everybody.

If Matty Taylor misses the derby for grabbing another man’s genitals I don’t know what I’ll do.

im not sure he is. He’s been parodied as one because of his views being alternative. If you take time to look at his posts through a straight lens they’re short and reflect on our failings but also occasionally throw in some balance,

I remember at school kids being bullied and the aggressors telling the teacher “he was asking for it”. A lot of you need to take a step back and reflect on what aspect of his opinion you’re truly debating and provide some alternative context.

I’ve hardly seen anything that would be considered outrageous or attention seeking. As I say I don’t agree with his lens but I’ll always support someone’s right to have a different opinion without being silenced.

Balance and diversity of opinion over mob social media unilateralism please

I like Kip. At the end of the day, it’s a football forum. It’s not going to cause me to lose any sleep. We all post things in a reactionary manner, at times. I know I have. Kip popped up with a single post tonight and then disappeared. Fair enough. Like I said, it’s only a football forum.

However, when things aren’t going so well, he is the first one to emerge from the shadows and put the boot in. I think there is a way to say things and sometimes, it would be nice if he (and others) could add a little bit of balance to some of their more negative posts.

Fair enough.

but different personalities will process our results in different ways. Some are negative some are positive.

A negative reaction to defeat could suggest that they hope for more and have bigger ambitions and expectations of the team. A positive reaction to defeat could suggest more ambivalence. That’s just one lens not necessarily a theoretical truth.

Point being we should enjoy a variety of outlooks scaling a spectrum and be mature enough to tolerate them and engage civilly.

or we can just create a binary style forum like American politics has become .

I don’t think it matters to much , it’s only a forum. I do know the older lads on here but not many else ,having said that HK Yellow ( was it ? He got on my nerves with his pro posts of Chinese greatness, and never seemed to post on games post) I’m sure Scotchegg is okay and great uncle kip is too .
Good to see oufc lads having hand bags at the end , all good for team sprint to Saturday.... we all hate Swindon.....

Was at fault for their goal. Basically stood waiting for the ball rather than attacking it which I think is his downfall. Having said that, I not sure if he’ll play at Championship level, but I wouldn’t rule it out.
