FA Cup Oxford City FA Cup

I seem to remember going to Northampton’s old ground that had 3 sides.

I hope no one was driving down the A40 whilst Jonathan Mitchell was taking a goal kick for Northampton last night....

Anyway fair play Oxford City.

I see their chairman however said before the game they want to be on the football league in five years.

Seemed a few people dotted about the ground? Did the do a Wycombe on Northampton and have lots of officials present!?

Yes I do believe that this is correct.
Was great for City to win , very pleased for them. Shame could not have fans there , I’m sure a few Yellows would have gone along to give them a cheer too .

Northampton used to play at the County Ground, shared with Northamptonshire County Cricket Club:

Watched a game as a neutral there (in the away end) back in the early(ish) 90s. Martin Aldridge was playing for them before his move to us.

Exactly, he can’t really criticise our ground when theirs was the same.

He later put that it was a tweet designed to wind up an Oxford supporting friend and colleague on a podcast they're both on. And also isn't a Northampton fan

Let's hope its as entertaining as Mondays game. Though Shrewsbury will be a much tougher prospect. Also their management duo won't want to finish runners up to City on the night
