Away Match Day Thread 10/11/2020 Papa Johns Trophy - Walsall v OUFC

Ah well we won top of our group and the next round at home....never mind the fringe players can get more game time.

Not overly ecstatic about winning the group in this tournament but a win a win so well done lads

3 goals so far from Osei Yaw .... and hes unregistered for the league squad

Why?

Young lads did well. Hall and Kelly need shipping out urgently so we can re-register Yaw and bring in another free agent. Obita looked like he could be a good signing in his first half performance. Tactics are frustrating to watch this season, we just don't seem to work balls along the ground into our forwards. Took 87 minutes to play a good ball in behind and Osei struck it brilliantly. I wish we fed him, winnall and taylor with service like that multiple times a game!

Young lads excellent

Hall - old record and past it
Kelly & Henry - well if they cannot dominate in these games = when

Definitely mainly plusses tonight.

Agyei looked good when he came on, the youngsters didn't look out of place in general, Obita looked decent but obviously not fit, Mous at least available if we need him. Not sure why our goalscorer isn't in the squad and Hall is TBH (and I have a lot of sympathy for Hall - I just don't think he offers enough to take up one of the senior places any more, unfortunately). Henry still worries me - he looks a mile off it at the moment.

Some random thoughts

Poor second half.

Good to see a clean sheet. Mousinho looked a bit more on form.

Chambers-Parillion looked ok in the short time he had, could be another prospect?

Osei-Yaw clearly knows where the goal is...

I’d like to see Cooper feature in the next game.

Kelly looks like a fan who’s won a competition to come on and play at times

The young players have energy, confidence - could do worse than give a few of them a chance in the league
