Oh Jesus.
Don’t bring Jesus into it, you said and has been backed up by other U’s posters that you have to isolate for 7 days from day of test, but Beckles
Didn’t that’s gross misconduct

That has tickled me...not sure how many times a person can explain something..
I was gonna give it one more go.

But then I saw this. I don’t even know what to say to this? I never said that lol.

I can see what is happening here @Crewe , Crewe doesn’t have a forum in the whole of The net and in The whole of The world and he is hoping we will forget about the whole thing And he will slip in and be part of the yellowsforum . I’m sorry we just can’t take in strays off the street especially at the moment with Covid-19 N all that . ?

Well he hasn’t. He said Beckles self isolated what for 3 days when it’s supposed to be 7 and he may not have travelled to the ground but he travelled with the rest of the team and management to Oxford and passed it to two other Crewe players which could have led to U’s players and staff being infected. He is just trying to make it look like it was much ado about nothing no matter how you dress it up, and Jesus? More like King Herod

Oh Jesus.
Slightly off topic, but is your forum in meltdown that you haven't spend loads of money on players, deadline is tomorrow after all. At this rate might aswel relegate us now. We have been abysmal in our opening THREE league games you know much like last season where we made the play off final. The global pandemic is no serious matter, we need a center back, a winger and apparently a striker (despite having two of the best on the league) that we should spend millions to bring them in even though the club like every other club in the land is hemorrhaging money......is that just us?

Hi Crewe. Thank you for baring with some of our finest posters, aka Essex Yellows and Bazza.

I for one welcome your reasoned posts.

Just make sure you don't post anything left wing or anti Boris - as EY will feel the need to willy wave...
Ok so you think it’s ok not to isolate for 7 days and travel with others not knowing that you are positive but hey wtf you infect a couple of you colleagues and even though they are fit young men some who have had the virus were for and healthy young men but now have serious breathing difficulties. Another non believer ffs

They all P**s in the same shambolic pot.
We don`t know the truth, barring Crewe are trying to dodge the bullets in cahoots with the EFL, and we are now looking forward to a 3rd date for a match that they have caused to be rescheduled... twice.
Apply the same rules as Rugby, 1 rescheduled date, fail that other team gets the points. At least rugby can progress and complete a season.
We will be left "trying to play Crewe" possibly until Christmas or beyond and all because they couldn`t organise a P**s up in a brewery.
It really isn`t as complicated as they are making out.
Crewe behaved really badly in not informing OUFC as soon as they knew about Beckles' positive test and they shouldn't have turned up at the Kassam without informing OUFC first. I completely agree with you about that.

We are all (including @Crewe) frustrated at the way Beckles behaved in not telling his club about his private test; with Crewe at not telling OUFC about it once they knew and subsequently turning up at the Kassam; with Artell in being a twit in his interview; with the EFL with just about everything they do or don't do; but lets try and stick with the facts to the best of our knowledge.

Otherwise this forum is going to carry on spreading misinformation which doesn't do anyone any good. And one day another forum will be doing the same about OUFC and we won't have a leg to stand on to defend ourselves.

I am so glad I have run into you. Genuinely love reading your posts.

We haven’t had a proper forum since our Rivals board, which I guess went about 10-15 years ago now? Maybe not quite 15, but certainly at least 10. However, if you follow #crewealex, you will notice over a period that Crewe fans, like most fans, can be quite melodramatic. However, there is goodwill around the club atm so there is no real criticism.

I probably should not post the lyrics to my favourite White Stripes song then.

Well said

They must have a massive boardroom at the EFL judging by the amount of stuff they seem to sweep under the carpet. Wonder if they ever get hit with any FOI requests?
Given that to the best of my knowledge the EFL are a private sector organisation, they would not have to respond to any FOI requests so feel free to waste your time.

Maybe I’ve missed a post of yours but I’m sure you said you have to selisolate for 7!days from your test and yet Beckles for three days only, you have said a something about privates tests ( I believe ) but surely you must agree Nexkles
Should be disciplined strongly as it will a a case of gross misconduct?

Yes to the point , maybe the Mods could shut this post down, and we all can move on ?

Apologies if I have this wrong, but from all I have seen:

No, it appears you only have to isolate from the day of the test if you or a household member have symptoms or if you have been contacted by Test n Trace and advised to isolate. If Beckles and his household really were asymptomatic (and appreciate there may be questions about that), then he didn't have to isolate until he got the results of the test.

We might all think it sensible to isolate from the day of test, and I would agree with that approach, but there doesn't appear to be any rule saying you have to if you are asymptomatic - mainly because none of the guidance seems to cover having a private test which was the only approach available to him.

It feels like many of us would like to see the rules changed - certainly clarified.

Sorry but this pandemic is a serious matter
The whole post was sarcasm aimed at those on here cannot see what the pandemic is doing to the club and the world in general. Those who are more interested in who we sign than the clubs sustainability.

Ok. One more go. I think you may be referring to my explanation, or certainly my understanding, of Beckles not being in isolation for all of the 10 days (not sure where you are getting 7 from, defo no idea where you have got 3 from).

So, Beckles, as far as I was told, got his test privately on Wednesday 30th September. He did not self isolate because he had no symptoms (stupid of him IMO). Test came back on the Saturday of the first PP. Positive. He goes into isolation. But because of the law (call it a loophole like the Aussie did if you wish) he only had to isolate until 10 days after his initial test. The 10th day was Friday 9th October. Meaning legally he was allowed to return to his place of work on Saturday 10th October.
