10 and a half minutes in and the Woking Gaffer talks about the " three Oxford lads."

At 15 mins in he says he has missed out on one Oxford boy who is now involved with the first team ( Elechi - i would say).

Think he may have said two may play in a friendly with Hampton & Richmond today.
Dowson can be difficult to understand! ( no disrespect! ).

Three players on trial guessing maybe all from Oxford

Possibly the 3.

Fatal to say - as we never seem to hit the nirvana moment - but when everyone is fit we’ll be a force:

Eastwood - but needs to stop making silly impulsive decisions. Judging when to come for crosses seems to be a problem.
Clare - looked much better yesterday and will come good. Has the pace to recover on his positional errors.
Moore - starting to look the real deal. Good to see him covering back behind his fellow defenders yesterday. Maturity.
Atkinson - will make mistakes but the more he plays the better his partnership with Moore will get. Physically strong. Good in the air.
Ruffels - solid and dependable and if we get a stable pairing up the left side (Maddison?) he will settle into the season.
Gorrin - unglamorous but we have missed his energy and tidying up.
Branaghan - but could easily have Forde in here.
Kelly - showing top level class on the ball - but could have Forde in here
Cooper - good when he came on yesterday. Has he got 90 mins in him? Physically strong enough? Agyei to start here?
Henry - energy levels back up yesterday - did being skipper help? But vital link. He plays well, we play well.
Taylor - much more than just a 5 yd Tap-in player. 20 for the season is a reasonable expectation if he stays fit.

McGuane - going to have to work hard to get a starting place. But excellent 70 min sub addition to any game.
Agyei - increasingly effective on the ball And much stronger in possession.
Osei - physically a handful but needs to work on his first touch.
Sykes - can blow hot and cold. But outstanding squad player - Joe Rothwell like.
Winnall - once fit will push Taylor and on occasions if we went 2 up front they would be a handful.
Hall - going to struggle for match time. Still looks a bit weak on the ball.
Long - his final ball drives me nuts but he works hard and can clearly cover LB and RB.
Moushino - provides cover but won‘t start many/any

And so, as many have said, its the left midfield/left wing slot that causes the most questions. Maddison would be a great fill - if placed on some form of performance and behaviour contract. Getting Forde into the starting XI May be based on who we are playing. But he will push both Branaghan and Kelly - which is good. Henry/Taylor vital for what we want to achieve.

So now we just need everyone out of the treatment room and then standby to get turned over by Crewe on Saturday!!!
But that’s football.....

Do you think we’ll sign Maddison Scotchegg, just asking for a friend??

Maddison is someone that we've spoken to, and as far as I'm aware, he's not getting many other offers. Robinson believes in his ability to get the most out of players regardless of their background, as was seen with his interest in Nile Ranger and Ched Evans before. The board need a bit of convincing, and I think are holding out for a PL youngster (Holland?) instead.

Will he sign? I don't know (pauses for the usuals to jump on the bandwagon about ITK stuff!!!). I think it will come down to whether we get the defender/s that we want first, and whether we then need to get under 21's in to offset the wage cap.

That is interesting. If Maddison is lacking fitness I can see why the board is cautious. How many players have we signed who need game time and in the end never produce for us? Quite a few I reckon. Holland is an interesting one. I'm not sure he is pace merchant we need. First time here, he had some good moments like the Newcastle goal but actually didn't produce that much. Obviously he will be improving all the time.

Holland was a lazy suggestion as someone we've had before, is available and did alright with us. It could be a number of younger players, maybe where pace will be the priority.

I think I’d prefer Maddison to Holland, it’s more of a statement signing than a young loanee from the PL. Holland, as you say, was good in flashes but ultimately didn’t over produce. Maddison is a great age, knows his way around the league and could be our Cantona moment - the loose cannon that finds his spiritual home. Obviously there’s risk, there always will be with a maverick footballer but while KR has rejected a few he’s shown that he’s very open to the idea as well as the fact the fans love having that type of unpredictable player to watch.

I didn’t understand a word of that. These pesky foreigners.

Napa impressed apparently according to their forum. I wonder if the player they missed out on is Kyran Lofthouse as he did well for Oxford City last season so a step in Lg would have been seen to help his development. I think Lofthouse now allows more flexibility for Sam Long as KL can cover right back so may have pushed himself forwarding in KR's squad make up.

O'Dowda on loan would be ideal. I know people are petty and hold grudges but he'd be a great left winger at this level.
No chance. Its not about being petty or holding grudges, his behavior was appalling and hes not the kind of character we should be welcoming back to our football club.

Hes a snake. Let him rot on City's bench.

But we could sign Marcus Maddison based on the comments from Peterborough?

We had the Matty Taylor handshaking incident, so I won't get too precious, but I think there are better prospects that COD right now.

Maddison is a much better footballer and he hasn't treated us the way O'Dowda did - I don't care what he has done at Peterborough. The club has moved on and the club has moved forward. He has not. Tough s**t. He made his bed..

if we're talking about getting former players back in ... utility player Canice Carrol ( local lad- went to Cherwell School) is a free agent atm... Roi youth international too
