Getting the crowds back in

So why did they let trials go ahead two days ago?

Because they’re desperate to get some revenue streams in. Understandably.

But the situation with pandemics can change quickly and has done over the last week. The government will intervene I expect.

Do you think they will advocate going ahead with current growth trends?

Oh look, desperate attempt at class division.
"Only posh people shoot"..... utter rollocks!

Hobbies & sports can be managed in an extremely safe & "covid-secure" way.
In fact I would say it is safer than going to a supermarket.

At a shoot or similar event there is normally 1 person in charge and the attendee`s appreciate the effort put in to facilitate their attendance.
People arrive in their own cars or family bubble.
They draw their pegs and walk to or get bussed to the line and their peg (masks & hand sanitiser on gun bus).
Go back for elevenses or lunch, socially distanced nothing shared & self service.
Get birds at the end of the day & go home having spent quality time in hundreds of acres of land where the pegs are about 20 yards apart!

Unlike Tesco`s !

Sad to say way things going unless their is some sort of vaccine and covid cases getting worse thanks to a lot of irresponsible troggs etc.
Could be a long hard season for Oxford as players thrive on supporters getting behind the team.
And this could kill some teams in lower leagues no revenue coming in and can't really see premiership teams helping financially as they love themselves.
To some people properly won't come back as found different things to do instead, the games on TV are so boring with fake noises no intensity .

Well maybe. Or maybe the appeal of live sport (after the dreadful TV only experience) will get people of their arses and into the stadium.

(Personally I am hoping that the same happens with live music as well)

I hope so too.

It makes me wonder how much difference the demonstrations and Bournemouth made now. Selfish people with no consideration for others could be a death knell not only for people but for lower division football too.
For the first time in many years I was going to get a season ticket To watch my favourite team and that’s looking very unlikely now

Given the news today and the decision to curtail the season last March - sighting clubs not being able to afford to continue in empty stadia, it does beg the question whether or not much more of this campaign will carry on.
