Nathan Holland not been given a shirt number by West Ham!! Possibly get him again? Hammers fans seem to think he’ll go out on loan again

Well that means the bid he placed for the striker that would stand out in L1 has fallen theough

I like the guy that writes these articles. We frequently interact on Twitter. However, based on his tweets, I dont think he knows any more than anyone else on this forum so I have to question his inside knowledge on this.

I would take it with a pinch of salt.

Secondly, just because it is without a transfer fee, doesnt mean it has to be a loan? We have covered this already and we know many quality players are available on free transfers, right now.

For example, Leon Clarke. He's out of contract. Isnt he?

How can KR go from saying we've made a bid for a striker, for the striker now not to be commanding a fee?
He will need a preseason. Why can we not sign a striker that is match fit, and by implications would cost a fee. Waiting 4 - 6 weeks to get him ready seems to be wasting time, therefore a false economy. There are enough out there that could do a job for us.

Or it's a free transfer or loan.

Winnall seems the most obvious available. Was great in League 1 and free. Also unfit so matches up with the needs a pre-season bit.

Abit of a risk as he mentioned also would match up.
As he has not exactly set world on fire since injury.

But if he gets the Barnsley form back then great.

Can't think of many else tbh unless loan then anyone's guess.

Was not saying it was deffo a loan was just replying to other guy. a loan matches up to the made a bid part he was saying.

I myself think it is a free transfer.
 
Along as it's somebody half decent as KR says I couldn't care less wether it's a loan/money/free.:)

Well making a bid could refer to bidding for his services or tabling a bid, in terms of his wages etc. I think KR has played the media well, on this occasion. Its got us all thinking and its got the doubters, throbbing at the thought of a Gobbo re-emergence.

The only name he has ruled out is Grigg. The other details, lead me to believe it is definitely Winnall.

1.those bemoaning Winnall’s recent record. It was in a considerably higher standatd of football. was Matty’s recent Record before coming that impressive?
2. would a very high profile, fit, successful striker be willing To come to job share with Matty? I doubt it.

mind you it may well not be Winnall though I personally would be happy with him as our back up.

Exactly everything he said matches Winnall but also KR is good at these games.
 
Bid for someone's services I.e. A contract offer.

KR said on RadOx either before or after Tuesday's game that it wouldn't be commanding a fee. No speculation or itk stuff from anyone. Just reporting fact.
