Surely that was Mateo Corbo...
Indeed, actually who I meant
Didn't he play left CB and LB for us?

Not sure I remember much french, but I reckon I could find my way round La Rochelle and the Ile de Re, thanks to Tricolore “ecoutez et repetez.”

By who? He's literally a complete unknown! Don't doubt the validity of the source but if Osei is overrated then so am I!I am the Football Manager Researcher for OUFC. I have just had a conversation with the French Researcher who said the following;
"Perception overrated probably. This player has struggled a lot so far in his career, hopefully that might change."
Hopefully he defies that report!

Struggled a lot so far in his career. See also:
I would include Woodburn from last season, but injures dulled the player he could have been for us. Regardless, Liverpool sources were quoted somewhere as saying he mentally much stronger than when he'd left.
- Cameron Brannagan at Fleetwood
- Simon Eastwood at Portsmouth and Blackburn
- Jerome Sinclair at Sunderland
- Marcus Browne at Wigan
- Luke Garbutt at a host of Championship loans
It doesn't work for everyone, but we do have a reputation for understanding and coaching young talent off the pitch as well as on it.
Whilst he is an unknown to us, as above he won't be an unknown to the Brest Researcher/Brest fan who has watched their second side play regularly and has a duty to gather as much information as possible on loan players at Brest to have come to that conclusion.
Within Football Manager each player has two dominant figures. CA (current ability) and PA (potential ability). The 'overrated' aspect refers to his current ability in the game and proposed potential (and associated data). The figures for both CA and PA are out of a possible 200 (i.e. the best player of all-time). Your average youth teamer in League one is rated at circa 45/200 (to give you some perspective).
These figures are by no means static and can be adapted. Cooper is a good example; if he has a flying start to the season then his data will require an increase in his current PA and CA. However in the case of Osei Yaw, his CA and PA are considered overrated (too high) in the game on the basis of his performances over the last 12-18 months and as such a recommendation of reducing these figures by someone who has watched him in some detail.
On that basis, he is presently overrated within the confines of the game.
Just out of curiosity, as our 'designated researcher', what are your recommendations for highest CA and PA within the current squad?
A top League One talent would have a CA of 115+ with a PA of mid/high 130's. You would require a solid justification of anything beyond that to be honest. That would make them a lower level Premier League player. A good squad member at League One level who can be relied upon, yet wouldn't cope in the league above would have a CA somewhere in the early 90's.
