Ex Player Rob Dickie

As much as I'd like to think he's worth 2x more than that, it sounds about the right sort of offer.

Wouldn't mind a flurry of interest which leads to a bidding war though.
Indeed, bidding war to start at 2 Million.

I would be better if we could sign a replacement before selling. Otherwise clubs know we have a bit of cash and will want over the odds for there players.

Dickie has been brilliant since we signed him, and to be honest he owes us nothing. As long as we accept a respectable offer that potentially gives us more money further down the line I’m happy. As much as it’s a real pain having to sell players, we have to accept this is our model at the moment. In time this will change! But also it shows players that they can come here and develop and we will help them by giving them game time, and a chance to move up the pyramid where they started as youngsters. Dickie will become a premier league player one day. Terrific defender.

Wherever he ends up I wish him the best of luck.

Fulham would be a better move for him in my view especially as he lives in Wokingham.

Geographically yes Fulham would be the best move, but from a footballing point of view, he will get the game time at Norwich, and perhaps Forest for that matter. I don’t think he will get many opportunities if Fulham go up, so for me he should prove himself at Championship level, and go from there. He’s got time on his side!

When we sell I hope there is a sell on clause, (10%) and a promotion clause attached.

Fulham centre half Tim Ream is 33 soon and is past his peak for me.
Their other central defender is Michael Hector who was also at Reading with Dickie ( i think ).

This season he has really stepped up. We need to remember our best cb last season was Nelson. When he went I wondered how we were going to replace him. Well Dickie really improved plus I think Mousinho had his best season for us. No reason why same can't happen next yeseason with Moore or Atkinson stepping up.

If there are indeed multiple clubs after him we might end up getting a proper fee after all. Fair play. If we’ve got 2/3 serious bidders we might even end up getting more than the £3m we got for Roofe and Johnson. Happy days.

Plus sell on, I'd hope. Anything more than 15%, and with the way Premier League fees are going we could end up very happy.

Isn't our replacement Robert Atkinson?

I honestly think Dickie will go straight to the Premiership. He's better than Nelson who is now a regular in a team that nearly went up. Best centre half we've had since Matt Elliott. Pre Covid, I would have thought £4-5m.Now, who would know. If his agent is doing his job, he'll get him to a lower/mid level Prem team.
