Yep, £250,000 (all upfront) on the new management team and then it will be big wages for Doyle. Bolton back to being Bolton and going back to the s**t or Bust approach learning absolutely nothing. And having any humility about those local businesses who lost money by doing it so quickly.

The one positive from Doyle is that it means amusingly he isn't signing for Swindon.

This seems an incredibly risky strategy. It's not as if they are rolling the dice to get into the Premier League, this is only to get back to League One.

Would it be worth us looking at taking Ryan Williams back again for next season?

Depends what league we're in. I think league 1 is his limit. Where as Curtis if he stopped stropping could be be a decent player in the championship.

I'm surprised we havent tried to get him again. I think he had a bad injury and missed a year or so, and is probably on good money now having been with Rotherham in the Championship. He always looks really good when i see him.

He reminded a lot of Ricky Holmes, and not just because of the hairstyle. He started off well but then seemed to run out of steam in the second half. He was blowing out of his backside midway through the second half. I suppose its a bit unfair to judge fitness at the moment but he certainly seemed to hit a wall.

Reminded me more of yemi odubade. Had the pace to burn but no end product. You could blame that on others in the team not giving him options when he got in a good position. But there is a reason why he dropped down into league 1 from the championship.

Because he wanted to live back on the South Coast as Rotherham manager Paul Warne mentioned on the coverage last night. And probably more money.

Sorry I missed that, i couldn't stand them bumming pompey all game. So turned the volume down. Same as after the Wycombe game, hardly any mention of us. Now it pompey were through they wouldn't shut up about it.

I definitely think we’re going to have to get used to being the pantomime villains of the show on sky next week. It’ll probably be more like the ‘Ainsworth and Akinfenwa Show’ I reckon.

I think that’s unfair, he got some decent crosses in. He’s also stronger and more aggressive than many wingers

He was their best player in the first half granted. He put decent crosses in but the strikers were either behind in play or no where near where the cross went. Sounds like he would want to stay on the South Coast anyways so unless we are ground sharing with Southampton we might aswell look elsewhere. It will come down to what league we're in for the style of players we go for. Championship is faster pace and less hoof up field and hope. Fast overlapping wingbacks and wingers who can also cut inside is what would be needed.

Maybe he was too polite to say 'I don't want to live in Rotherham any more' - Oxford might appeal.

So you mean we picked him up on a free from a Premier League club, he made over 50 appearances for us and then we sold him on for a healthy profit? What’s not to like?

Also what role did he play in bananagate?

he helped Allsop during the assault

Great to see Bolton splashing the cash big time again after nearly going to the wall.
They still have a 20 million pound loan to repay I think by the end of next season although there maybe an extension due to the coronavirus

That'll be this, then.

Richards is 29 but has not even played 150 league games in his career. That’s about 90-odd less than Capaldi had played when he showed up here at the same age. Is he regularly injured or has he simply spent most of his career as a backup?
