+++ 06/07/20 L1 Play Off Semi Final: Leg 2 - OUFC v Pompey +++

Also criminal commentary. Also loads of close ups of that floppy haired t**t and the toothless gargoyle from Pompey- anyone else notice that?!

And their ratty winger.

All of them constantly on a loop. Bizarre.
The final will be unbearable. Nobody will want us to win over plucky Wycombe and Akinfenwa etc. It’s going to be unbearable listening.

Wow, just wow. Cool as cucumbers we were. Glad McGeehan missed the penalty.

As for Curtis...

I would have rather it had been Curtis who missed.

I generally quite like Pompey, and think they are probably the biggest club on the south coast, but it's really f*****g difficult to empathise with a fanbase that does s**t like this - hand gestures and all!

Agyei turned the game for me. Fantastic performance.

He did well for first 5-10 mins after coming on, but then I was disappointed with him as he showed lack of desire/effort, especially with other players tiring. Having said that he offers more of a threat than Mackie.

Sat through that Wycombe match for 15mins of Wycombe talk and 2 seconds of Oxford. F sky

Portsmouth, Ipswich, Sunderland, Peterborough. At least one of them isn't going to get promoted next year either!

Plus whichever is the next big team to come down from the Championship...
Big Team? Peterborough? Just a big mouth egotistical chairman . Just a small town in Rushten ?

Both broke up our play. Mackie because he couldn't bring it under in order to get a pass off and Agyei because he didn't know when to release it.

Agyei reminds me a bit like Origi at Liverpool. Knows where the net is and can score some important goals, but he doesn't play with the same cohesion as some of the rest of the players, so he doesn't start.

So I've just about stopped shaking now.....

......amazing result. Said on Friday that I hoped they'd been practicing pens because the two sides were so evenly matched.
If it had been an 80s cup tie, it's one of those that would've gone to about six replays.
In the end, the footballing coin flip to decide it and we come out on top.

But boy, next Monday is huge.
Chance to play in the frickin' Championship again for the first time in more than twenty years.
But the loser has to go back to a League One that's going to include Pompey, Sunderland, Ipswich, Peterborough and the three relegated sides that might well include a tough Barnsley team and a mid-table (from a footballing perspective) Wigan outfit. That's going to be a tough league to get out of in 2020-21.

Two very different possible near, and medium term futures for our club.

Yep. Plucky Wycombe who have spent an absolute fortune on players like Wheeler, Onyedinma etc.

I hope the Wybother fan doesn’t start all his “local derby” bowlocks again, the press will of course encourage him ?
