just remembered another one - star chess!
instead of taking the opponents pieces you fired a laser at them.
if a piece was in trouble you could send it into hyperspace for a few moves but would then come back anywhere, so could land on your opponents or your own King which would mean game over!

That sounds amazing!!

Don't forget you can use Tesco Clubcard vouchers to pay for Now TV passes.

Do we know when they will announce who the officials for the Portsmouth games will be, that could be a big factor given some of the clowns we've had....I'm looking at you Trevor Kettle and Darren Deadman.
Don't tell me that.... I have my dad's clubcard in my wallet. He is not going to be impressed.

it was but seem to remember there was a flaw in it which meant you could move the cursor to your opponents pieces and hyperspace them as well. and if you pressed the buttons quickly whilst being lasered it would go off target

Other spectrum faves were jet pac, lunar jet man, raid over Moscow, monty mole. Then there was the hobbit with Thorin sitting down worrying about gold.

Kick off 2 on the Amiga was the pinnacle of footy games. Never been bettered.

3D Deathchase. The best 16K game?

Drinks breaks?! Will be the final nail in Graham Westley's managerial career.....

Back to Now TV, I've heard that to get a week's now TV pass to work you have to register and enter a credit card number. Then, they have a habit of accidentally putting you on to a contract. Anyone here have any experience of this?

P.S. Very sadly I can even remember that the C64 disk drive was a 1541 and the printer was a mps1230. Last used them around 1997 I reckon. Also had something called a Super Snapshot cartridge which allowed you to do all sorts of things. Such as pause and save games just before a tricky bit so you could back to that point if you died and you could swap game characters. I used to play racing games with the hoover from Ghostbusters!

Only half an hour pre-match?? Normally with league games you get an hour but they’ve only allocated half hour for the playoff semis. No logic in that

Will it make much of a difference? With the likelihood of there being no prematch interviews then I think 30 mins will be plenty.

Why wouldn’t they do pre-match interviews? They could do that from 1-2 metres away. Or they could even do it via Skype. There’s plenty they could do

Maybe pre-recorded but I'd imagine that the press will have very little access to the players or management team prior to games to minimise any infection. And these are the most important games Oxford are playing in years, so maybe leave the team/manager to prepare and focus without distraction?

Losing 30 mins of radio time really isn't much considering everything that has happened.

Ok then, you choose something for us to complain about!! ??

I imagine the early half 5 kickoff impacts. By being that time, it's already impacting on whatever is normally the Friday evening show. Having an hour prematch cuts into the afternoon show.

it maybe sky sports (with their PL bias) are struggling to actually find any semi knowledgeable (L1) pundits who could speak half intelligently about the forthcoming match, for more than ten minutes or so?

Bit of a long shot. But any Yellows in Hong Kong at the moment? And if so, do you know of a bar that will showing the game? Starts at 0030 Saturday here. Cheers.

There is also no need to cover the local non league teams or any other local sport whatsoever.

Hello northern yellow, I am also a Us fan living in Hong Kong. Would be up for meeting up to watch the game. I’ve heard that stadium bar,
In wan chai will play any game that is requested. Could go there...
