International News Covid-19 .....

If the need to furlough continues into July, Gov', its said ( News at 1.30pm), are looking at/ considering reducing the 80% pay guarantee to 60%- with various companies, (employers), struggling already, having to find an additional 20% - making up 40% of furloughed employees pay- is a move that seriously could tip many many employers into bankruptcy, and many furloughed employees into unemployment
Employers do not have to make up the difference .
Employees have the option of accepting the 80%/60% or being made redundant.

Fucking hell! Party broadcast now, male boffin "Social distancing has been critical to reducing the spread of the disease and maintaining it is critical to continuing to reduce it."

Restrictions to be lifted on Sunday. Is there an argument going on here? I look forward to the acting PM's science-based decisions.

Dominic Raab said: "We are now in a position to consider what the next stages may be and how we can move forward and avoid a second spike. If people ignore the rules we will reintroduce and increase the lockdown rules".

This does not create the news Headline...…… "WE CAN ALL GO OUT ON MONDAY!!"

Fast enough to blame the Government..... what about the media?

How can you reintroduce what you haven’t formally removed?

In Germany (yes, I know, Germany again) we have seen a lot of restrictions lifted or eased significantly in the past couple of days. Restaurants, pubs, hotels, museums all open soon, but with restrictions in place.

The mantra from the government is: If the rate of new infections increases and reaches over 50 per 100,000 people per week in any district, then lockdown will be enforced (only) there again until the rate drops below this figure for a further week.

Does anyone have similar figures for the UK?

For reference, this would mean 1,800 to 2,000 new cases of infection in Berlin per week. Last week saw 350 new cases here.

We are so far away from that, we may as well be flying over button moon.

Read what he said..... I typed it especially for people of limited understanding.

Then go down a couple of posts and read the headline in the rag.

Sure even you can manage that, there`s a good chap.

And as for Kunnesburg prattling on about an "exact R number"................. you can`t have an exact number across 66 million people you stupid pointy faced witch.

When Comparing stats use the @Essexyellows technique. Ignore bluster change the subject.

after all this is a man still incapable of admitting he mande a mistake describing Covid19 as "a Snuffle". and implying we should instead be paying attention to serious things that killed thousands of people.

he has a bad habit of becoming personally offensive when cornered, too.

I think it is ‘Kuenssberg’? The rest is unnecessarily abusive.
