Manager/Coach Karl Robinson - Will he walk

That shows the difference between formal approaches and what actually goes on. The fact that he references people telling him about Blackpool's plans shows that there has been a lot going on behind the scenes. However, the fact that Tiger has knocked the formal approach back so quickly, it backs Robinson into a corner where he needs to stay or walk out on his second club in 2 years. This maybe strengthens Robinson and the teams position in the summer, with more funds available to get the right players in, but it also shows that Tiger won't be played with either.

Interesting times ahead!
It's why I mooted internal politics on Tuesday night - KR is clearly on a mission to push the first team on and this hullabaloo is a great way of putting a marker down to the board that he has other options available. It's just less subtle than the Malaga thing.

Equally, Tiger is reminding KR of the contract he signed recently and no doubt the obligations within it.

Having read the Oxford Mail article my thoughts are that he will not go now but will in the summer unless funds are forthcoming.

If Blackpool appoint a caretaker manager which they could because they are not going anywhere, that will tell us exactly what is happening
Exactly this.

This is my take on it too. It will only be put to bed if Blackpool appoint a 'proper manager' in the next week or two on a long term deal.

I'm probably one of the few people to see all these latest developments as a fairly positive thing for us fans. Like you say, KR clearly wants to push us on and this allows him to apply a bit of public pressure to the board to do so and provide him with the funds he wants.

Didn't sound like that phone call clarified much for him!
I would imagine he’s been told to sit down and shut up as he signed a contract, and therefore it isn’t up to him what happens here. Perhaps a harsh dose of reality for him after thinking he had everybody wrapped around his finger and that the tail wagged the dog. Think he might have just encountered the businessman rather than the friendly little fella in the bow tie that he’s always joking around with.

That the club statement yesterday didn’t have a comment from KR, yet apparently everything was sorted within hours of the game ending on Tuesday night if today’s comments are to be believed, becomes even more contradictory and odd. Why not put your name to yesterday’s statement, Karl? Everything was sorted already wasn’t it? Even though you’re also saying it still kind of isn’t because you still need to talk about next season, and you’ve switched your line slightly to “I will walk out one day”. I thought you wanted a united football club where we were all in it together? Why are you still hinting that you could walk away in the coming months? Why throw that sort of uncertainty around everything? I hope you aren’t being disingenuous, Karl. Not after all the things you’ve spent nearly two years shouting as loud as you can.

Watch what people do, rather than only listening to what they say would be my advice to people. You would be amazed at how much clearer a lot of things become almost overnight.

Well, after reading that OM article it sounds like Robinson would love the Blackpool job. He could hardly have given the club and owner there a more glowing reference. I’m more confused than ever now, why doesn’t he just resign if he wants it so much? Oh yes, Blackpool would have to offer him the job first. Maybe they only did just want to speak to him about it and he got a bit ahead of himself. I do understand his frustrations here at the moment and he only wants what all of us fans want at OUFC, but I do think he’s put himself in a bit of an awkward situation after saying a bit too much on Tuesday night.

After reading Robbo's comments in the OM today, I'm inclined to agree.

I don't think anyone can argue that he wasn't backed in the summer, or at the start of the January transfer window, but I think the way January ended has left a real sour taste for Robbo, and Tiger and the board need to give him the reassurances he wants, and continue to back him financially in the summer, or I fear we'll have a repeat of the Mapp situation, where he got fed up, left halfway through the window, and we ended up with a right numpty!

Loyalty bonuses, compensation etc. He resigns he gets nothing and Blackpool have to cough up as Oxford hold his registration.

Bit difficult to follow this advice when said person does nothing but talk

I honestly think KR won’t be here next season unless we get promoted then he he would be stupid to leave I think he’s getting fed up with the lies from the bloke in a silly bow tie ?

Might I suggest a watch of the ifollow prep video..think things are pretty clear here. Walking/ pushed yes a football fact of life and might I also add that people don't get to be very successful businessmen just because someone did/didn't like the colour of their socks so to speak.

I see some are still all but using the Gobbo remarks again, i would suggest that it's fairly obvious that as a football manager that he either walks or gets pushed at some stage.
don't no how many times it needs saying but promotion opportunities like we had do not just pop along, he recognized that whilst his employers did not..what does his accent matter or what he says as he will be judged by results and no doubt some on here will be first with the blame culture if promotion is missed even if his employers will be inwardly smiling.
Do we really have to lose another decent manager for the wrong reasons?
