Home Match Day Thread +++ OUFC v Accrington Stanley 25/02/20 +++

I do hope the news about KR isn’t a distraction

Accrington are always tough to play against. Reckon 0-0. Happy to be proven wrong!

I’m not sure about Gorrin playing further forward in midfield - would maybe have preferred to see Henry in there with Agyei wide right - but we shall see!

I think something quite important needs to be cleared up here. I dont think its a case that the board ‘dont want promotion’, just more a case that theyre not going to go s**t or bust to achieve it. I agree that recent events have been frustrating and possibly go against the rhetoric previously coming out of the club but, if we somehow did get promoted Im sure Tiger and co would be as happy as the rest of us while probably sweating just a little bit ?
that's what i needed to hear!

Doing some sleuthing, that means Jacqui must've been at the game where we beat Wolves 4-0 in April 1994?
[just double checking, and she was born in Wolverhampton, and is a Wolves fan, so that makes sense......]

That was, coincidentally, the home game immediately before my first ever Oxford game (1-1 vs. West Brom)!

Is that the one where everyone sang Turnip what’s the score at Graham Taylor and he put 4 fingers up, felt a bit bad about that when he died, was a decent man who never deserved the grief.

'No Comment' from OUFC when asked about KR being linked to Blackpool

Tonight's referee is a rookie of sorts at this level, its David Rock's 5th L1 match

he has been an assistant referee at the breeze block before tonights game

he's got hell of an act to follow after Scott Oldham at Ipswich last Saturday

Must have been the "do i not like that" game. An all time classic.

Another win tonight will do nicely lads. All out attack and put Accy to the sword.

That was an immense game followed by wolves in numbers coming round the white horse

Looking at the iFollow picture of the North Stand, I make it about 30-40 Accy fans at the moment.
