General Jan transfer window

Likely £4m including add ons.
A lot of money for a L1 club. Peanuts for Championship. If we were in any doubt where Tiger sees us. Suspect he cant afford us to go up? That said, if cash was used on Cadden/Grigg I think we would be stronger all around. Suspect might be the NL guy up front. KR must feel a bit daft though after touting SB as a 10m+ player not 2 months ago

Only if Grigg forced the deal through himself, and refuses to sign elsewhere. Sunderland are desperate to get him out of the club.
Fingers crossed.

We won't get any one in on a permanent, it will be a loan at best. Then in the summer we will sell Brannagan and Dickie aswell as all the loanees returning. So basically we will have to rebuild a whole squad again which will lead to a slow start and trying to play catch up with all the other teams. Sound familiar?, ?

It just depends on how good Thorne and Kelly are for the next 3 months doesn't it? Keep Brannagan and they come good alongside Henry and Gorrin. We're laughing.

Think Fosu is a bigger loss than you're all saying, he really suits the way we play. Browne not as good, Holland who knows?

If I was to lose 1 of the 3 (Baptiste, Dickie and Brannagan) then it would 100% be Baptiste. Least essential by quite some distance.

This could ignite something great amongst the squad, we just don't know. ALL TO f*****g PLAY FOR.

f**k OFF SWINDON- whilst I'm at it.

Why did we agree to play the postponed games in February, when we already had arguably too many matches in quick succession? 9 games was likely to be too much for our limited resources even before losing 2 key first team players tonight. Is it because the board wanted the extra income for cash flow or are we just a victims of the EFL system?

We’ve gone from having allegedly 5+players lined up for every position we are looking to fill, to no chance of replacing Fosu or Baptiste by the close of the window and it’s even doubtful for the other positions we were already targeting.

I’d like to say I had better news but as Far as I’m aware, we’re not particularly close on any. That’s not to say it wont happen mind you.

Cadden won’t happen - forget that one.
Is O'Donnell the one who snubbed us after the bid?

Fosu’s had maybe 2 or 3 good league performances in as many months

If that’s the case then I’m convinced that something has changed dramatically in the last few weeks off the field.

The club acknowledge on several occassions that we need to strengthen at striker and RB,

we make announcements that players are lined up,

we have a lucrative unbudgeted cup run,

we still dont make any permanent signings,

we then sell two key players,

we end the transfer window with no further signings.

Doesn't add up.

Having been critical of the board for their motives and guessing we were holding out to sell someone this window they have actually payed up DE this year and been paying back the service charge arreas on the Kassam in their defence.
They just dont seem to communicate all this very well and you cant actually believe a lot of what they say so getting a feel for the random way our board usually works I fully expect us to go out and panic buy a few tommorrow.

It’s all about cash flow. Tiger has never had the money he claimed. He’s cashed in on assets as soon as he can. He’s just been very very lucky that so many good players have come his way. If anyone actually believed that Tiger was investing for the future, today is the day you can officially stop believing. Unbelievably stupid decision to sell on the day before deadline day. If he had any ambition/long term vision at all, he would have turned down the Baptiste offer (I accept Fosu may well have gone anyway, given the clause), as Baptiste would still be worth £3m+ in the Summer. Feel sorry for KR.

It also depends if Brannagan can get back up to speed quickly after such a long layoff
