The new deal's not that surprising, he was effectively on a 'pay as you play' deal to prove his fitness, and he's proved his fitness. Makes sense that he gets game time whilst we have Browne and Holland in the building, and if we do get promoted then we have a player we can sell/loan out for the season, and if we do stay in League One we'll have a useful squad player.

Sounds like he doesn’t fancy being a fringe player and just wants to play. Can’t see him playing that often for us to be honest.

Fair play to him, some players these days seem happy with just sitting on the bench and getting their wages. He seems to have the right attitude and just wants to play football

Since he was on a 'paid if you play' deal, he wouldn't be earning much (or getting fitter or more match sharp) if he'd stayed with us. Going out on loan a step down is a sensible thing for him to do. I do feel sorry for the bloke really, he has had really bad luck with injuries - unfortunately I am not convinced he will ever get back to what he was, but hope I am very, very wrong. Good luck to him.

Wouldnt we all look like that if we had to wear that shirt?! It looks like a christmas photo of somebody wearing the new shirt they got from their slightly bonkers mother-in-law. Will be going straight to the back of the wardobe on boxing day!
