Away Match Day Thread +++ 18/01/20 Gillingham v OUFC L1 +++

1-1, Browne with his first in spell number two.
Did you just pretend like Rotherham didn't happen? Wish I could do that!

Gillingham were atrocious at our place but are currently on a very strong run at home, winning 4 and drawing 1 of their last 5 (or extending to all competitions, won 7 of their previous 9, the only loss being to West Ham in the FA Cup). However prior to that Ipswich, Peterborough and Rotherham all went there and won so we must surely be looking to do the same.

we will win 3-1 today with Mackie scoring at least one dunno who will score the other two
coyy

Neither of the predicted lineups so far has Fosu in it. Would be nice to think that we're able get to a point where Robinson gives him the rest he needs, but that's not been the case so far.

I don't know about this one. Coming away from this one without 3 points would be soul crushing. After 1 point in 9 we really need to get the win however we can.

This will earn me a lot of flak, and I do know what happened last season, but I think this might be a game for 4-2-3-1:

Eastwood
Long Dickie Mous Ruffels
Baptiste Gorrin
Holland Brannagan Browne
Taylor

Subs: Stevens, Moore, Hanson, Sykes, Fosu, Agyei, Mackie
4-3-3 worked really well with Cadden and Henry on the right hand side. If we now have speedy wingers that are going to focus on attacking, we need slightly more cover in front of the back four. Baptiste is really good at receiving deep and breaking through midfield, Cam can unlock defences a bit further up (and needs to end the goal drought).

All in all, whatever setup/lineup we go for, the quality we have at our disposal warrants 3 points. I'll say 2-0, Browne and Sykes.

We haven't really clicked in 2020 yet. Hope springs eternal that it will happen tomorrow.
Myself, I think things will only settle down once the transfer window is shut.
1-1, Browne with his first in spell number two.
It will be his second

Is it to early to say this is a must win game? I think it is a must win because if we go 4 games without a win it will get harder to get out of this slump. Win and it’s only a mini slump. Lose and it becomes much worse. Fingers crossed ?? we get the win. I feel Gillingham are the type of team that we will beat 5 times out of 10 draw 3 and lose 2. Hopefully we haven’t used up our 5 times. COYY

Some chaps moaned about the draw v Ipswich, l did not it was a stepping stone and l hope to move on to a away win today.
l know few Gills fans , and they hold us with a lot of respect both on and off the pitch. So hoping for a nice free flowing game of football and with good backing and little bit of luck , l will go for 2-1 to the Yellows and 897 Yellows fans ? in attendance......?

I have a positive feeling and think it will be close but a 1-0 win. Holland with a nice crisp chip in the tenth minute. Gillingham to play sone nice football
