worse goal difference in the league (-31) so unless Sol has worked miracles since their last game it's got to be a win for us. 0-2, Dickie & Henry

I’d expect a 3-0 victory. But we always lose to Southend..but tomorrow surely it will be different

0-0 bore draw. I can’t get hopeful about a game against Southend, we have been terrible against them to many times.

Very important fixture. Need a win to show we haven’t lost any of our momentum.

Indeed. The club is being very coy about who the 'Championship opponents' were in the midweek 2-2 game in which all the fit senior players got 45 minutes in which we prepared for this game. Anyone know who that actually was?

I'll go with a 5-1 away win. Goals from Fosu x 2, Gorrin from distance, Mackie and Taylor.

Obvioulsy no room for complaincy, but as was mentioned earlier, this is a very different Oxford United and there is real hunger to win every game. I was really encouraged by the comments from Robinson regarding the cup games next week when he spoke of the importance of going into January still in both competitions (and the League cup!) when he could have been focusing on the Man City game and busy league calendar over Christmas. I have no doubt that everyone will be wanting to get out on to the pitch and hit the ground running. We were too casual in front of goal against H&Y but we showed patience and we may have to ride out a tricky 30 mins or so before putting Southend to the sword. But lets be fair, they are a truly awful side and will probably finish bottom despite the start Bolton had. My biggest concern is that if we are unplayable, Southend may end up kicking fook out of us, and players like Fosu will be the likely targets. It's important that we get through these games with the run continuing but without losing anyone for what could be a massive December.

Not sure if it’s a good sign but last time I worked a late shift on a Saturday we beat Lincoln away 0-6 so I’m working a late shift today were away again will it could it be 0-6 again ??

Southend or not, we really should be winning this. 2-0 to us.

Mackie is banned for this game so it will have to be A 4-1 away win

We are a professional enough outfit not to take Southend for granted. I think we will have done our homework and look to get the job done first and foremost.

Shame Mackie is suspended, as I think Southend will sit deep, and Taylor won't be as effective as he is against the more open sides.

Eastwood

Long Dickie Mousinho Ruffels

Henry Gorrin Baptiste

Sykes Taylor Fosu

That'd be my lineup against what I expect to be a deep set defensive opposition, though I doubt it's the one KR ultimately chooses.

I'll say 3-0. The first just after half time, forcing Southend to open up to a point where we can get a couple extra in the closing stages.

Henry (pen), Fosu, Sykes

Hope for a win (no matter how it's achieved) but would be satisfied with a draw.

We ought to win this comfortably. However, the footballing gods are fickle, we have seen a degree of wastefulness creeping into our play and Southend are our bogey team.

I’d be happy with avoiding defeat, hoping for a lot more though.
