Away Match Day Thread +++ 17/08/2019 L1: Blackpool v OUFC +++

Driving back down to Oxford and will meet a player at 10.30 tonight. Well done Karl. Loving his interview
Well if he’s meeting a player at the training ground tonight at 10:30 the player must be keen!!

He’s probably someone who’s based locally as well..

Hmmm..

Meeting a player at the training ground - surely Baldock or Taylor?

Who else is local, has pedigree and wasn’t involved in matches today?

Yes, of course we need a striker. But you shouldn't necessarily need a top quality centre forward to put in some of the chances that Mackie et al had today.

Drop every other aspect of training, because we're absolutely on top of it all. Set up a weeks worth of shooting drills, please!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH! Back at the hotel, every Blackpool supporter we encountered on the way said they didn't deserve to win that. We had them playing a 4-6 formation for most of the second half, they were playing on the (occasional) break.
The saving grace is that if we can add that desperately needed bite up front, we will be a very, very good side.

What he say?
Basically ref was crap how could he see it was a penalty from where he was stood and hasn’t consulted the linesman. But the team can hold their heads high. Playing for the short never say die and finished how they started. A never say die attitude but he wa desperate for a striker, not sure if they heard correct but he was meeting a striker at the training ground tonight at 10.30

You really won’t see many more one sided games than that. Madness. Champagne football, I believe it’s called. With a little more movement and cutting edge in the final third we’d have battered them, and even so still should’ve won.
