Lets hope this is the last we hear of this plank. No doubt he'll be pulling racism card, before long. Ever considered you just might be a s**t manager, Sol? Deluded.

While not be a fan of his, credit has to be given to him for keeping them up when they looked doomed on and off the pitch when he arrived. Then again, that does not qualify him for an overly extended run of subsequent managerial failures one of his predecessors (the aforementioned Mr Ince) clocked up before clubs finally stopped employing him.
Hope his replacement continues to give Welch-Hayes and Kellaher chances to play

I’m sorry he’s not made it in football yet. Did a tremendous job last year and started well this season.
Have to wonder if he was paid more than the club could afford with five players claiming they are owed sums of money

I believe he is owed 4 months as well if what I've read is accurate.

Doubt money is an issue for someone like Campbell. Hes done a surprisingly good job there in difficult circumstances.

I’m sure it isn’t
Probably not that much of issue to Phil Parkinson at Bolton either, but is a sign of the times what can happen lower down the leagues.
Macclesfield will struggle to get anyone willing to work for nothing. Their attendances don’t fund the club it seem.

He may be he is a poor manager (I have no evidence either way) but let's compare the players from England's 2006 world cup squad who went into management and their first jobs:

Lampard - Derby
Gerrard - Rangers
Gary Neville - Valencia
Campbell - Macclesfield

It's a small sample size so you can't read much into it. I am just putting it out there.

Fair point but lets be honest, even as players, all of the above were much better than Sol.

I wonder how many of the players from that team couldn't get a job at all?
Sol Campbell seems a Tony Adam's like character to me. Great defender , did very well for England, but not sure I would want either at Oxford

as well as being an unappreciated footballing genius, Sol Campbell is also good at arranging team bonding pub crawls too? Blimey ! ;)

A bit of a strange decision as he did what he was brought in to do (keep Macclesfield up). I can only assume that he was made promises (transfer money, wages etc), and the board reneged on what was agreed, there was a heated argument, he was told if you don't like it there's the door, then out he walked.

I quite liked Sol Campbell, and always thought he would be one of the ones who would be most likely to succeed in management. I hope he gets another chance, but doesn't start playing the race card like John Barnes countinually does. By doing that you are not helping yourself or any other up-and-coming black managers.

Paul Ince also started at Macclesfield. But let's just brush this under the carpet...
