Great post.

Fans were right to be concerned about the lack of activity until recently. After all our summer last year was terrible.
Fans were proven right to remain positive about this summer.
We are all on the same side of the fence!
I actually disagree with that.
Listen to Mousinho's interview yesterday. He made clear that the clubs strategy has been spot on.
So fans have been proved to NOT be right to have been concerned.

Yemi Odubade - Nigeria
Emmanuel Ommoyinmi - Nigeria
Dan Agyei - Ghana
Andre Arendse - South Africa

Anymore African players we’ve had that I’ve missed?

Let’s hope Agyei is our Yeboah! He scored some crackers.

Ahh wiki is your friend. You cheated! Otherwise I’d of got them too ?

Doudou was doodoo

I know i get that, but i would still be surprised if they took someone from competitive footbal to do a pre season..would be nonsense.

Would make sense if he spent preseason with his new team, getting to know the coaches and players, their way of playing etc.

Don’t get your hopes up about him staying. The only they loaned him to us was because they had their quota of overseas players. None of this conspiracy theory that Motherwell fans seem to believe.

So sounds to me relistening to the Pre match with BBC radio oxford Robinson expects the new striker to be a permanent. If it is Matty Taylor and it being a reported loan it could be a loan until January with a view to buy.

What possible grounds for any differing view point could anybody else have?

"I agree with the original post to a great extent" So, you disagree with a lesser extent of the original post? Would you care to expand?

"it goes beyond having an opinion" What does this mean?

"pillocks with an agenda" Agenda? Care to explain that statement?

I am all for debate and educated discussion, what you have posted is neither.

In response Manor Lounger.

"And, of course, you know better than everybody what is good for the club, and what is not."
The point is I do not know and essentially no one knows........unless you have some close inside knowledge and I mean from around the board. The people who are just being negative at every opportunity are unhealthy for the club. Don't give me all that rubbish about debate and educated discussion. If you think the things that I speak of are educated, then your version of educated is a lot different to mine.

"it goes beyond having an opinion" and "pillocks with an agenda"
One in the same thing here. Constantly negative people with an agenda to get out the board and manager because they think they know better........which they do not hence the pillocks reference. And again before you say it I shall repeat myself and say that I also do not know any better, but I am not doing a jig every time KR or the board do a press conference.

"I agree with the original post to a great extent" So, you disagree with a lesser extent of the original post? Would you care to expand?
That's a riddle. I greatly agree with it and if there was a bit that I did not greatly agree with, then it is too insignificant to go into deeper.

But really if you cannot understand the purpose of my post then you are probably forum blinded to the issues that I discuss. And I just made up forum blinded before you ask me to explain.

You still don't get it. There is a trend on here to describe anyone who puts up an opinion which questions the actions of others, to be instantly labelled as negative. ( on the verge of heresy )
There are folk who post on here who have experience and knowledge of the football industry. There are, undoubtedly, some who actually do have access to information from within the club. No doubt, there will also be those who want to think they have information and post to boost their ego. There are also those who have time and/or are very good at, scouring the internet for information. Sometimes to great effect.
And then there are those who constantly complain about anything which is not in the happy clappy, everything is great club. I do not, by the way, include @Scotchegg in that group. He does get a little carried away with his enthusiasm but, he does at least post what he believes to be factual and not just diatribe to put others down.

I have assumed, for the point of this discussion, that you have labelled myself as having an agenda. I hope I am wrong. I have no agenda. I do, have an interest in this club that I have supported and followed for a great many years, to continue and to enjoy success. I dislike the way successive owners have been, shall we say, "economical with the truth" when making announcements about their intentions or actions.
So, to say that I might be one that wishes to oust the board would be far from the truth. ( unless it comes to light that they are endangering the existence of the club I hold so dear)

So, it appears to me that what you wish for is a forum completely free from any negativity in regards to how the board, management etc conduct their business in relation to OUFC, would that be fair? No criticism of any actions. No questioning the financial mishaps, no mention of the mounting debts.
A sanitised version where we all happy, cheerful sorts content with whatever we get served up on a Saturday afternoon?

Oh, one last thing. I thought you might enjoy this quote:
An educated person is one who has undergone a process of learning that results in enhanced mental capability to function effectively in familiar and novel situations in personal and intellectual life.
