I agree with that about mackie... but boy I like watching him .... probably as you say like the refs do

We played well I thought, definitely need some fresh legs for up top, shame Sykes didn't come on as I think he offers something
Can't make Peterborough next week but COYY
 
Did I miss it, or did Sunderland not announce our team before the game?
I thought it was part of the EFL rules to announce the teams?

The PA system was crap, mind.

I don't think they did announce our line up, you couldn't hear anything lol
 
That photo shows Mackie tugging, but there is another photo that was looked at from a few seconds before, when the Sunderland player was clearly tugging/shoving Mackie first - they referenced it on Rad Ox in the commentary. What it shows is that the Ref missed the first bit of it, gave the second bit of it, which makes it a poor decision. The keeper had a flap at a cross when he didn't need to, and was bailed out by a generous decision.

To be fair to the Ref, I don't think PGMOL are helping people like him be the best official they can be, and we see what a desperately poor job Mike Riley does for his fellow officials each week by the lack of consistency in decisions and how unprepared some Refs are for big games.

If the club can get the right players in, we have the markings of a very handy team. With KRs willingness to shithouse at away games, I can see being a very unpopular team this season.

In the past few seasons, we've been far too polite at times, so seeing the dark arts come out yesterday was pleasing. Successful teams are successful at shithousing to gain any advantage. Let's hope it continues
 
I'm not sure about some of the 'cheating ' we are getting close to.
A player goes down and hits the floor with pain? Then gets up fine? I hate that and don't want us to do it.

I despise it, but if everyone else is doing it, I reluctantly endorse it. It's about managing the officials and the opponents to gain an advantage. Football is no longer a game for the honest and the authorities don't seem bothered about sorting it.

So. We'd be foolish for not indulging.

Mmm I understand what you are saying. But I will never like my team cheating. Is that an age thing? Does everybody these days think that we should do it?
 
Anybody else like me get caught on the M1 on the way back. It seemed the road was temporarily closed down. Everyone getting out of there cars, and crossing the other side because there was no traffic coming in the opposite side.

According to a van driver next to us who had a colleague at the front of the queue, there was someone on a bridge threatening to jump.
