Maybe - but you'd hope (what with our billionaire board members and all that ;) ) you'd hope that wasn't the sole reason! No, I get it - it's a good experience for them to play there. But whether having five stuck past you at a canter is any good for the team in the long term is IMO arguable.

Rather now than getting trashed, say, 4-0 away on the first day of the season.
 
As everyone knows....we need a striker and a decent replacement for Nelson .......... was a good run out against a team weeks in front of us.

Fosu and Sykes looked good for a bit and I liked a few nice touches from Lofthouse. Disappointed in Gorrin. A presence is needed at either end of the pitch.

Do you really think that's how it works? Get beaten by five in your first pre-season game and you are inoculated against the same happening in the league? :) It's certainly a novel theory, I'll give you that...
I don't think that game we've just watched/listened to will have much effect on the season really - just seems like an odd choice for the first PSF.
 
We weren’t great going forward but the commentator on Rangers TV would have you believe that we never crossed the half-way line.

I queried this match when it was first announced. Proven right really. Only thing out of it is what we already knew. Needs for a new centre back and an out and out striker. Nothing has changed.
