Season Ticket prices frozen ...official

I think that's a good move. So my ticket is now £299 and includes £10 to spend in the shop. For another league season of highs, lows and last minute winners I reckon that's a bargain. (y)

How many more "bumps in the road" is this going to camouflage? Not complaining though!

Happy with that.

Why is it going to camouflage "bumps in the road"? They've only reduced prices in one stand, frozen the prices elsewhere and are trying to find an alternative for the financing.

Good decision to bring the prices of the “budget” tickets down, we were getting pricey at that end and were losing lower income fans judging by the gaps in the east stand. We have enough empty seats to not exclude anyone, plus we are Oxford United not sodding Arsenal, a club for the people of Oxfordshire not a club for bankers, tourists etc.

Sadly I am not sure I will renew, I gave my ticket away at least 8 times this season as I have other obligations on many Saturday afternoons

That’s a shame to hear. Hope you’ll still make games and possibly renew again at some point.

Personally, I’ll be renewing again in the East Stand and with a slight saving. Which was nice.

can't really knock £13 a game for east stand. that's good value. just need to get a monthly plan sorted now as can see that being a big factor in some people's decision to renew/buy again

The monthly payment plan is huge and will definitely affect the sales. I assume the club are working hard on a solution, but they definitely need an option for it when the STs go on sale.

im a little suprised clubs dont self fund this, i know they normally rely on upfront monies during the close season, but surely if they had a set of supporters directly paying £x a month thats guarenteed income for the season to help cover ongoing costs etc...

I don't think it's a question of funding it - the clubs apparently don't get the money for the finance scheme sales in one hit anyway. I would imagine it is the being a registered lender bit.

I know it won't be for everybody for various reasons but would opening a 0% Credit Card and pay it off over the term of the deal, be an option if the club can't do a monthly plan?

I appreciate some won't be able to due to credit ratings or won't want one at all due to the temptation for further spending but it would seem an option for some.

It is the only time of the year when supporters have real leverage. Supporters should be lobbied at the next home games NOT to buy yet, until the veil of secrecy is lifted and we have a transparent, credible, open QandA between Tiger (not his proxy) and the fans and no stones are left unturned. Then we can decide whether we want to risk paying for games in advance. If we go bust half way through next season, there are no ST refunds. We at least need to hear from the horses mouth that it isn't going to happen.

It appears the first deadline is 17th May - to get the £10 discount on the shirt.
So if 500 people renew by then, it will generate £100,000+ which should be enough to pay April's PAYE/NI due 22nd May!!!!!!
VAT 7th May
