So.... Are we going to make this official, have a whip round for a trophy, and force ESB into a pitch side presentation for the lucky winner?

That’s actually not a bad idea as long as it was moderated properly (as I’m sure it would be ?)

“The Yellows Forum player of the year trophy”
ESB?....

Henry would run away with it if his season had been reversed (early season performances had come more recent) but people will forget that as he’s been anonymous for a while

The bloke who mentioned Dickie needs his eyes and his brain tested, a few solid games recently doesn’t make up for being a liability for over half the season

Agree with your comments on Henry.
Dickie a liability for over half the season though? Totally disagree. Sure he had a poor spell (like most of our players have) but Dickie seems to be one of those players that get a lot of undeserved stick.

On the strength that this may mean something in the world I'm voting for Ruffels, he's not the best footballer (Nelson & Kashi are better) but he's sound, good positionally, can find a telling pass, works his balls off and has a shot on him - more than this - he's been the solidest contributor through the entire season.

It's be nice to be saying much the same about Sam Long this time next year.

Of course, it might go to Brannagan if the club are looking to sell him in the Summer to cash in and want to help their bargaining position...

I'm the bloke with the apparently faulty brain and eyes.

Firstly, there's no need to be rude - we all have our opinions. Secondly, I suspect you are the sort of person who makes their mind up the first time they see a player and then refuse to change! Yes, he had a few dodgy matches (and I'll bet you can't name a player in our side who hasn't! I presume you aren't giving anyone credit for the time up the new year?) but - like Ruffels - he is playing out of position and has steadily and rapidly improved over the season. To the point where he will move over to the right next season when Nelson has gone and will be the mainstay of our defence. I have no argument with Ruffs or Brannagan being voted for though - perfectly reasonable. And I would argue that your proposal of Henry is exactly the same as that of Dickie but in reverse. A very good start to the season, but a pretty indifferent end (circumstances may well explain that) - of course, mistakes made by an attacking midfielder will not have the same result as those made by a centre back...

Hard to pick between Ruffels and Brannagan for me. Definitely two of our most consistent performers.

I was tossing up between Eastwood and ruffels. I plumped for ruffels and see everyone else did too.
Eastwood was up there for me because he put the team back on course by recovering from injury. We might have been in the playoffs but for that finger!

John Mousinho for me.

Yes he hasn’t started the last few games, but prior to that without him in the side we looked incredibly vulnerable. Our season changed when he went to defensive midfield. Excellent captain & great example to younger players.

Dickie has improved a hell of a lot, didn’t vote for him but he has improved

Ruffels has played the majority of his games for OUFC at left back. Yes he can play in centre midfield but he certainly isn’t good enough to play there every week. He is a very good left back at this level. I think it’s time to stop saying he is playing out of position when it is his best postition.

I've voted for Ruffels but could easily have picked Brannagan, however i would like to mention Nelson too. For a player that seemingly knows he will be leaving at the end of the season he has put in some real top class performances at times when it would have been easy for him to take it easy and go through the motions.
