Home Match Build Up 28/11/2020 L1 OUFC v Swindon Town

Scott Rendell remains the greatest unsung hero of the 2012 home win. I’ve never seen a better example of pressing and closing down from someone being forced to play as a lone striker in my life. He just didn’t stop, and I’m talking full-on sprints. That man left absolutely everything on the...

We’ve had other things to commit that money to recently. The plans for Space Command are coming along nicely.

Yep. They’ve never even scored a goal on that pitch. If we’re going to suddenly start remembering how to get clean sheets, this is the time to do it.

I think they’re using ‘sack’ as another word for ‘scrotum’. Best slap a warning on them for making such filthy remarks on a public forum. Anyway if we win on Saturday I’m going to drive to the stadium and jump in the shower with the lads to celebrate.

The irony of seeing bullies claiming they get bullied, just because a few people eventually started putting them on their a**e in return for their needlessly aggressive behaviour. At least Kip is respectful and easily ignored. Not something that can be said for everybody. If Matty Taylor...

What?! He’s literally never played anywhere else until he got here, and tonight he worked his balls off, put himself about and won a penalty!

Really decent point and a decent performance for good measure. We showed some fight and that was encouraging to see. Really happy with that. Agyei worked hard and put in a real shift, and it was his pace and ability to trouble the defence that won the penalty. Don’t ever play him on the wing...

A fairly decent performance overall, but with this defence we will always struggle. One chance for them in the first 20 minutes, straight in the net. Marquis then missed a sitter from six yards and Moore got away with one on Harrison after a horrific back pass / header from Long (I think?)...

Robinson is playing players where they actually play, and there’s a logical reason for lining up the way that we are based on the potential weaknesses of the opposition. Even if we lose it’s just one of those things - he’s made a call and he can stand by that.

    Getting the crowds back in

I’ll make sure I only have the one j’s worth, so that we have to take turns toking. It’s just a bit of saliva. Nothing worth missing out on the jazz cabbage for.

    Getting the crowds back in

Another fair question. Plenty of ST holders don’t live inside the county. Who monitors that, aside from the obvious issues regarding fairness? Or is it common sense again? Nobody has a clue what they’re doing.

    Getting the crowds back in

Public health aside - and it’s a horrific idea if this is indeed true - good luck getting clubs to juggle this in terms of logistics. “How many season ticket holders can we let in?” “4,000 this week, but that might change at barely a day’s notice at absolutely any moment.” “How do we choose...

    Getting the crowds back in

Don’t go to the match DO go to the match, but only if it’s outside OR inside and you can’t watch it from home, and if you CAN watch it from home then watch it outside but not with your family, watch it INSIDE with your family, or go to the match, but don’t go to the match unless you need to...

    Oxford vaccine 70-90% effective

A 70% effectiveness rate rising to 90% after a second dose is stunning. You might want to look at the average effectiveness of the standard flu vaccine to get an idea of just how impressive this is, especially because until not even 12 months ago we didn’t even know what the hell this thing was...
