    Manager/Coach Des Buckingham

I was reading an article about Ian Evatt today, and his underwhelming start at Bolton. I checked the stats, and he had 6 wins and 7 draws (25 points) in his first 24 matches at the club. This run included a 4-0 thrashing at Orient, and 3 goal defeats at home to Tranmere and Port Vale. They then...

Although it's only 14 seasons before you become more likely to have gone up than not, so that's something!

I'm guessing the extra fixture is meant to be for Stevenage, as they have the game in hand on the rest. Stevenage play Carlisle on Saturday, when the rest don't play, so all will be equal fixture-wise after that.

Not for much longer, unless there's a miracle from Wilder! And actually Leeds is bigger too, so it's not even true this season...! (I'm guessing you mean *ever* in the Premier League, thinking about it.)

Can people stop with the win percentages please? :) I presume it's some weird US thing as they don't believe in draws. PPG is what matters here!

    Current Player #23 Josh Murphy

I'll let those in charge of the money make a decision on a suitable deal for Murphy, or whether he is worth it or not, but if he's here next season, I'll be pleased to watch him play for us.

Rhodes off early for Blackpool, and now they're 1-0 down

Yeah, I'm in the "give Des time" camp, and I still would be if we lost today, but I'd find it a difficult case to argue for sure. Losing to Bolton, even badly, is one thing, losing to Vale quite another.

btw I'm not a "Des lover" or anything, I don't know the man, and I have no reason to support him particularly. He's done a poor job so far. But I have lived through enough years of football to know that judging a manager too early is unfair, and that they can grow into a role, even after a start...

I'd have Djavan Anderson back in a heartbeat. Loved him.

Bolton were very very good. Sometimes you come up against a side on a good day. It's made worse when your players make a lot of errors, but the pressing was relentless, and possibly forced a few of them. Very depressing, but definitely worse if we lose to Port Vale (by any score).

If we were run by many of the fans on this board, we'd get through more managers than Watford. It was really s**t tonight, but it doesn't change the logic that saw the majority say a manager (any manager) should be given a decent amount of time before judging them. Appleton for example would...

They are very very good at home. (Many of their recent matches have been away.)
